So Hewitson, a noob with 12 posts, is gonna "destroy" anyone who thinks using hot glue is a good idea for a little extra protection after a soldering job (for a mod or whatever); he feels such work is not up to a "professional standard..."

Sorry, but I think that is rubbish. I have NEVER used hot glue in any of the modifications I've done, and I have NEVER had a single solder joint or plug/socket come loose.

As far as I'm concerned, only cowboys use glue.

Lets face it, he did not deserve time to explain himself. he was clearly trolling to troll. If he comes forward and says "hey i had a bad day, sorry guys" thats one thing. I doubt it will happen though.

You have Hewitson for the weekend opening act, who comes on stage trashing people and he has no work of his own to post, or any experience to reference and link to, and on the other side of the spectrum you have Drakon who steps on stage to do the closing act, going fucking mental because his past work was used for example pics. What a strange weekend it was in the world of modding this past weekend....

EDIT: Then again Drakon seemed on the rag even earlier when I posted a basic schematic for the PCE s-video stuff, like he didn't approve of others knowing how to do said work, and presented a snotty attitude in general about it all.
