Presenting the Dead of the Brain 1 English patch by David Shadoff for the DEAD last official PC Engine CD game published by NEC before exiting the console biz in 1999! I helped edit/betatest and it's also a game I actually finished in 2023, yaaay! Shubibiman also did a French localization. github.com/dshadoff/DeadoftheBrain

Hey.  I recently acquired a TurboGrafx 16 with the CD attachment, and the CD attachcment powers on, but it won't spin the discs.  I don't know if that is a problem with the laser or what.  It doesn't appear to even be attempting to spin the discs, which leads me to believe that the problem is electronic instead of mechanical.  I was wondering if anyone could help me or possibly fix it for me?  Please let me know.  Thanks.

The middle gear is either broken or stuck.

^^^^ What he said.  I had the same issue along with a hundred dozen of my colleagues.
I'm busy playing pinball, but I still drop by to visit.

or the laser is dead, but odds are on the gear

Ok, so are there people on this site that can fix that for me? (I'm new with this site, and I know nothing about how to repair systems).

Yep, Kieth and thesteve who replied are both excellent at this sort of thing.  There are a few others too like chop5 or bluebmw.  Although some may be full of work already.
NW: Hey, I made it on this psycho's Enemies' List, how about that ?? ;)
BT: Look at how the fake SFII' carts instantly sold out and were immediately listed on eBay before the flippers even took possession. Look at Nintendo's overpriced bricks. Look at the typical forum discussions elsewhere. You can't tell most retro gamers anything!
