@GTV reviews the Cosmic Fantasy 1-2 Switch collection by Edia, provides examples of the poor English editing/localization work. It's much worse for CF1. Rated "D" for disappointment, finding that TurboGrafx CF2 is better & while CF1's the real draw, Edia screwed it up...

I've been contacted by someone who is writing an article about the PC Engine and is requesting release dates for the following systems, Day/month if possible rather than just the year:

PC Engine Super CD-ROM
PC Engine Shuttle
PC Engine LT
CoreGrafx 1
CoreGrafx 2
Duo R
Duo RX
TurboDuo
PC Engine GT
X1 Twin
Pioneer LaserActive
PC-KD863G

I'm not that well versed in hardware release dates, so any help would be appreciated and I'll pass the information back to him.

Bernie

My Turbo Duo is stamped October 1993.

My Turbo Duo is stamped November 1992. I'm not sure if thats helpful or not. I'll have to check on my -R to see the manufacturer date.

Bernie

lol, my other Turbo Duo is stamped January 1993, but Im fairly positive he needs actual system initial release dates.

There's a lot of research and speculation about the U.S. hardware in this thread:

My August '92 Duo is the earliest stamp anyone's posted on these forums. Dragonmaster pinned the Duo's release date at Babbages and EB to October 5th-11th, 1992.
I'm a cunt, always was. Topic Adjourned.

Laseractive came out on Aug. 20, 1993 in Japan.

I don't know if I have ever seen a firm release date for the US system, but October 1993 is pretty widely believed to be the release date of the CLD A100, and N10 and S10 PACs in the U.S.

**EDIT** - Instead of going off of memory, I should've done a 3 second Google search.  If Wikipedia is to be believed, the U.S. system came out on Sept. 13, 1993.

This site has some dates however I cannot vouch if these are accurate

The dates look about right.  Also, start on these pages as well for confirmation:  http://magweasel.com/category/i-love-the-pc-engine/page/10/
