12/23/2024: Localization News - Team Innocent

PC-FX Localization for Team Innocent is released, a pre-Christmas gift!! In a twist, it feels like the NEC PC-FX got more attention in 2024 than any other time I can remember! Caveat: The localizers consider the "v0.9" patch a BETA as it still faces technical hurdles to eventually subtitle the FMV scenes, but they consider it very much playable.

Maybe its the arcade like style. Also the realistic stats and cool batting and pitching style.

They made a 97 and 99 (skipped 98) BOTH WERE HORRIBLE

The first ps1 bottom of the 9th was like a 3D version of the 1989 original

I never played that game on PS1, but I do think it is the 2nd best baseball game on the Saturn.  I also really enjoyed 3D Baseball on Saturn.

My favotire baseball game of that generation was only on PS1 console, but I played on PC, which is High Heat Baseball.

...I play a lot of baseball games.

My all time favorite Baseball game is Super Baseball Simulator 1.000 on SNES.  It's just perfect with crazy assed super moves, customizable teams, arcade style gameplay and season mode.

Then my runner ups are Baseball Stars (NES), Baseball Stars 2 (My Neo CD version), Super Bases Loaded 2 (SNES), Super Power League FX (PC-FX) and World Class Baseball (OBEY)!!

I remember trying some Major League Baseball and Bases Loaded '96 on Saturn, but thought the transition to 3D was pretty rough and it lost most of it's gameplay (Arcade style?) that I loved in my 8/16-bit baseballers.  But your post about Bottom of the 9th has me intrigued!  I will seek this out and give it a shot!

Thank you,
Jossshhhhh...Legendary TurboTrollX-16: He revenge-bans PCE Developers/Ys IV Localizers from PCE Facebook groups and destroyed 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Josh and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner (extortion/blackmail!), never himself nor his deranged, destructive, toxic turbo troll gang!

I love MLB on the original NES.  My all time fave is baseball stars professional.
World Class is great and I'm still waiting for TV Sports to be released. Last I read, it was "coming in the fall", but they never said what year.

The current gen baseball games are super hard and more like a simulator then a baseball "game".

TR0N

The only baseball games you should be playing,is baseball stars 2 and super baseball 2020   Own both and there so full of win and good old fashion arcade style of play.
BTW super baseball 2020 does have a genesis&snes port.

I quite like the MLB The Show series on PS3, but I will take baseball anyway I can get it.

You guys are 100% right that arcade style baseball gaming has disappeared and now you have to worry about things like leaning when stealing bases and other fun details.  The PS2 was the last system with any sort of arcade baseball games.

Anyone ever play Power Pros?  Probably the most recent game any of you would like.

futureman2000

Ooh yeah, I played one of the Power Pro games on the GBA and it was awesome. I don't recall what year I liked- and I remember that I didn't care for the following year's game. I tried it later on the iPhone and it was meh.

I picked this game up not too long ago.  I'll definitely give it a shot based on your recommendation.

I'm not a huge sports fan, but I'm willing to try out this game. Baseball & golf worked well for 8-/16-bit generations are my fave...let's see if Konami delivers PS1 goodness.  :pcgs:
