Quote from: esteban on 08/22/2014, 11:11 PMAll right, now we have to compile a list of all non-Game NEC AVE releases!
Aren't those 3D glasses by NEC Ave? Looks like there was also a mini-vinyl Super Darius soundtrack.

There's also stuff like the Rom Rom Amp and Virtual Cushion.

Here's other stuff:

Some interesting stuff on this page.
Justin the Not-So-Cheery Black/Hack/CrackTiger helped Joshua Jackass, Andrew/Arkhan Dildovich and the DildoPhiles destroy 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged/destructive/doxxing toxic turbo troll gang which he covers up for under the "community" euphemism!

SuperPlay

Great list  =P~ I have been looking for the Darius mini soundtrack for a few years now.  The ones I have seen are way over priced or are loose without the cover.

The glasses are actually made by Sony, NEC Avenue just stuck a sticker on top.

What kind of effect is achieved—colorful enemies vs. Bland background Background results in 3D sprites flying around?

If you want to see for yourself get a cheap pair of sunglasses and knock out one of the lenses. That's all these are really. Darkening one eye tricks your brain into seeing 3D depth.  The effect is dependent on parallax scrolling.   Works very well with Darius as you get a giant parallax layer with lots of sprites all going the same way at a different speed.

it's called the pulfrich-effect and works with every game that features horizontal parallaxes.
i did that already back in the 80s when i played c64 and amiga games.
btw. back then, i accidentally found out about that effect by myself :)

www.pcedaisakusen.net - home of your individual PC Engine collection!!
PCE Games countdown: 690/737 (47 to go or 93.6% clear)
PCE Shmups countdown: 111/111 (all clear!!)
Sega does what Nintendon't, but only NEC does better than both together!^^
<Senshi> Tat's i'm going to contact the people of Hard Off and open a store stateside..

OMG, I honestly forgot all about this. I am totally going to try this.

I actually started writing an article about 3D Jim Power on SNES/Genesis/etc. years ago....and I was speculating if this was simply Pulfrich Effect (even though all advertising was using the Red-Blue lenses...HOLY SHITE I BOUGHT SNES JIM POWER IN HOPES OF GETTING THE GLASSES but I can't remember if I got them.

I know you don't care about this but I think the reason I took a break from he article was because I was trying to find stupid SNES Jim Power glasses ($00.02 item).

UPDATE:

JASON BATEMAN IS JIM POWER. Jim Power Wallpaper....never finished writing content.

Sadly, I can't find any of my notes on the SNES game....and this article was an early version because I don't  mention Pulfrich a Effect vs. Red-Blue Lenses....
