Adapter to allow TG-16 games on PCE console. Trying to assess value

Hello

I found the following item posted, and would be interested. But have no experience as to what is a reasonable price for this item actually is.

Seller claims it allows TG-16 games to be played on a PCE console.   Also might anyone know if it would work with a SGX as well ? More of a does it fit given the bulkier design of the SGX)

Any help is greatly appreciated. Trying to learn as I go .. just never had one of these. Figure that a number of folks in this forum likely have this, or similar.

You'll need to ground pin 29 of hu6280 for it to work with any pce systems.

So sounds like he's had it working.   And ignore my prior SGX question, not enough coffee yet this morning.  So I had it "ass backwards" in my original statement

Any input on what it's worth .. I really have no clue.

For gaming purposes, they're worthless compared to a switched region mod; like turbokon said, you'll need to mod any PCE system you want to use it on anyway, so it's really only useful if you have multiple US systems on which you want to play PCE hueys or for collectarding purposes.  That said, it's worth maybe $100..... or get the canuck made one from some dude here for $70.

Sounds like a hassle.  Thanks turbokon and necro.  I'll pass on it. 

If anyone else here is interested it's on Kijiji.ca from a Quebec based seller for $80.

Right now I have a TG-16 console in my living room (as my 7 year old is hooked on Bonk's), and my SGX that is down in my Man Cave.

I'll save my money .. to allow me to send in my TE and PCE GT into turbokon for re-capping. Seems a better use of my available funds.
