Recently acquired TurboExpress that does not work. Recommended repair options?

Hi everyone,

I recently got a turbo express from a friend but I'm having a problem with it. I was referred to these forums by Jason at Game Tech. And I guess I'll tell you what I told him:

I tested it out, and it looks like the backlight is turning on, but no audio or video is being output. I remember hearing that NEC had used a lot of faulty caps on their consoles, so I decided to pop it open and take a look for myself. Low and behold it looks like some of the caps are bleeding. There's what I think is an RF shield stopping me from seeing the rest of the board, and I'm nowhere near skilled enough nor have the equipment to start messing with desoldering these things.

And eventually I found my way here! For the record, I do have some electronic repair experience having done my time in IT, but this looks way over my head. So in short, I'm looking for someone or a recommendation on who I can go to for a capacitor swap on this bad boy.

I live east of the DC beltway too if anyone happens to be nearby.

You're in luck, as we've got quite a few good tech guys; send it off to chops, thesteve, turbokon, keith courage, etc.  Welcome aboard and good luck getting 'er fixed and that it just needs caps.
