No, NOT a trick, a Halloween treat! Presenting the Dead of the Brain 1 English patch by David Shadoff for the DEAD last official PC Engine CD game published by NEC before exiting the console biz in 1999! I helped edit/betatest and it's also a game I actually finished in 2023, yaaay! Shubibiman also did a French localization. github.com/dshadoff/DeadoftheBrain

Consolized Sega Gamegear for sale.  It has the following upgrades, new lcd, vga out, two controller ports and recapped.  Includes vga cable only.  You can adjust resolution and add scanlines by holding start, button 1 and 2 at the same time on the game gear.  Contrast dial enable vga out and disable lcd to conserve battery life.  $270 shipped within US.  Discounted for pcefx member, I have posted every where else at $300.

Wow, that's pretty amazing work. Was always discouraged by the fact that the GG had such a poor screen and no way to play the games on a television. Very clever mod and it looks beautiful. Not in my budget right now but I just wanted to commend the work. Best of luck with the sale.

New screen means that Sonic 2 is finally playable!

Stupid question but does this have a scaler to make GG games fill more of the screen? I assume that is what is meant by being able to adjust the resolution?

That is correct.  GG and SMS will default to full screen.

I wish I had the dough, it looks really nice.  All of the GG LCD mods look pretty great considering the original screens.

that is amazing, I like it. Tons of fun for whoever gets it.

Alternatively, you could get the Master System version.

Some day I will get around to installing my McWill LCD.  I bought one of his Lynx LCDs and a GameGear LCD.  Good idea about the controller ports.  I may add those to mine also.

I should try to get those too, I always wanted a Lynx, too.  And I've been through the entire library, should be a couple easy pickups to get most of what I want.  My first would be Xenophobe - I loved that game in the arcade, and the Lynx version adds a lot of new playable characters and other little extras.  Probably then Xybots, maybe Rampage, Rampart...  I used to really want Electrocop because I read it had a connection with Impossible Mission, but it's loose at best and it's nowhere near the caliber of I.M.  Also as a kid it seemed like the coolest game.

You really have to see it...amazing work.

I have a few Game Gears that I won't be playing anymore.

Thanks turbokon!!!

Bardoly

Amazing!  I would love to have one.  Maybe one of these days...

The new screen is great playing R-Type via the Master Game converter.

Years ago when I tried with my best old GG it was too difficult to see enemy bullets.

Thanks again turbokon!
