What happened to raffles on this forum?

What happened to raffles on this forum? they've disappeared, a while back practically the whole trade section was full of them.

I only ask as I'm curious on peeps opinions. I've never entered a raffle as far as I can remember and I've never started a raffle, but I have given stuff away for free in the past to other forum members.

I've got almost everything ready for another sound quiz.

Once I ruin(!) a few new Sonic Spike cases by adding Sparky labels to them, the rest of the contents for each copy will be raffled off all at once in a single thread.

I had a bad experience with a raffle winner that really soured me on doing raffles. I'll still give shit away from time to time if I notice someone is looking for something I have an extra of.

Raffles? I would say that the sales section for PCE/TG goods is quite slow in general nowadays. At least I tried to get some somewhat common games for a whole year and yet I didn't receive any offers in my WTB thread(s?).

I would say that it usually takes a raffle or two to act as a catalyst...then PANG! A bunch of raffles.

Also, the biggest reason there have not been any recent raffles..... BREXIT.

I did a couple of them.  The first time I did one I had to ship it to the guy twice and then the guy just kinda left the forums; I never even heard if he got the game.  I guess that's my bad for raffling the game off to anyone and not having a post count requirement or anything.  The second time I raffled off a game the winner didn't even bother to message me. 

Maybe I'll reraffle the second game at some point or maybe not.  I've still got it lying around.

half the time, the caption contest winners dont even want the prize.  but usually dont tell me until i PM them that they won.  then i have to call a different winner.  its a ton of fun.  lol
