New Adventure Island Skateboard Resurrection Glitch

A while back I mentioned this glitch and at least one person wanted to see it, so here it is. Just kill yourself by jumping on an enemy as it flies over a skateboard and you will come back to life as your body slides down the screen and lands on the skateboard. I did this in Ootake so I could use save state in case I messed up but I originally found it while just playing the Hu Card on my Core Grafx.

Too bad you can't keep moving, it appears the death is recognized, but it also...  isn't recognized by the game?

Correct.

That's a pretty funny glitch it looks like the code is checking to see if you character is hitting the skateboard but not if you have died.

As I was uploading I started to wonder if it would deduct 1 life or 2 for this since you technically die twice, but I always have more than nine lives when I get here. One of these days I'll get there with fewer lives and see how many actually get deducted.
