Kind of odd considering they are abandoning the console.

CrackTiger

The forum actually has a dedicated Virtual Console section.
Justin the Not-So-Cheery Black/Hack/CrackTiger helped Joshua Jackass, Andrew/Arkhan Dildovich and the DildoPhiles destroy 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged/destructive/doxxing toxic turbo troll gang which he covers up for under the "community" euphemism!

Maybe it will also be on The Switch.

Well, hopefully Nintendo has  plans to continue the VC for the Switch...

...which means that more folks may discover the TG-16 via current console.

Also, it is possible that Nintendo might honor past VC purchases in the new VC Switch market... this would create a lot of goodwill, IMHO, and should be the way that *all* digital sales should be handled.

...but, this is idle speculation since the IP holders would have to agree to honoring past purchases on any new platform. At the very least, Nintendo should honor Nintendo-owned properties (IMHO).

I definetly agree, browsing gaming related online boards I constantly come across threads where people have bought Super Metroid 3 times over and have had enough of it. That said I would like to see Nintendo release some PC-Engine shooters on 3DS, good for some practice on the go.

Also I'm not sure if I have said it here before but Nintendo's pricing for Super Nintendo games (and in general for VC titles) is absurd. You can get most of the titles cheaper as a physical cart from Japan including shipping. And not only is the physical game the real game you can lend it to friends, you can sell it, play it yourself, add it to your long time game library etc.

You have no idea how much I've been clamouring for PCE games on my 3DS... I mean, my 3DS is currently my main gaming machine, I love the system, loads of great games that aren't just Pokemon, but I can't go too long without playing some PCE, and I'd like to properly play it out and about (without having to buy a TurboExpress)
Yes I know they have PCE on the Japanese 3DS, but my 3DS isn't Japanese, and the system is not region free, and I'm not gonna hack my 3DS until Nintendo stops updating it, my next-best solution is to emulate it using a DS flash cart, which is what I do, but the NDS isn't capable enough to do PCE games justice, the resolution is too low, the sound is off and it doesn't even play samples, so the drums in most games and a whole lot of sound effects are missing...
At this point I really don't expect Konami to suddenly drop every PCE game they have available on the western 3DS eShops, so all I can hope for is for someone to eventually make a PCE emulator for the 3DS that takes advantage of the system's capabilities, so that I can get it once Nintendo stops updating the 3DS and I can hack mine...
