Avenue 3 Pad problem

Hello! Just received my PC Engine console with a test game. Cleaned the console and started the game. The button I doesn't work on a gas in game. All other buttons work properly. The contacts on gamepad are fine. Is this a port or gamepad problem?

Make sure the cable isn't partially unplugged inside the controller, and check the turbo and mode slider thingys to ensure the contacts are clean and not bent away from the pcb.  If those check out, maybe look for board cracks or corrosion?
