Ruruli Ra Rura noobie help needed

Once you get the sword from the bat.  You can get the chest way to the left after the exit.  You can open the way to the spider land.  But in spiderland I do not seem to be able to walk on the diagional mountain to get to the rock like it seems you should be able to.

What am I supposed to do?  I have tried almost everything to get out of the noob zone and I seem trapped

Use Raynas' fire spell to blast away the black walls, and then go into the lower(I think it's lower) canyon/spider land, use your sword on the wire, and then make your way up to the next boss.

Oh, and you should increase Raynas' max HP and max MP with items, or else you'll die very quickly while moving around with her.  And remember to use Heal liberally. :b

How do I switch to her?  Select does nothing, the top 3 buttons do nothing.

I am still running around with the dude that has the sword.

Since I am still playing off the origional disc...is the bottom option at the tent save?

No, I think the game is automatically saved when you exit the menu at the tent.  The bottom option is for restoring health.

Hmmm, well after getting 3 chars, killing 2 bosses, doing lots of crazy platforming to get chests and actually trying every tent menu option.  No save game was made to the internal or to the card.  When you choose continue it gives me a new game

I just found the problem, this FX game doesn't have a screen to tell you there isn't enough save memory.  It just boots and then doesn't save, and you pay the price later.

That's a swift kick in the pills, but I bet you're getting pretty good at the first few levels.

Does the frog have any attacks?

Can you break the brick walls?

How about going through those cracks?

This is my first post here! I am RayXambeR from ReVival magazine (devoted to homebrew video game scene and retrogaming too! http://revivalgames.org). I have been in contact in the past with Aaron and his website is always fantastic!
So, concerning Ruruli Ra Rura I need some help. I have found the first five characters (so, the liquid guy is my last) and I don't know what to do now. I have explored (I suppose) all the places I haven't accessed before (with cracks, etc.)
I have reached a level where there is a little waterfall (by going to the right down corner of the cavern, enter in a crack and go to the left of the screen).
It is impossible to pass through it. But there is some water down. I have try with the frog: it can go in the water but can't go out! Is it "normal" or is it a bug in this game?
It could be great if someone in this forum can guide me to find the sixth character!

IIRC you have to turn the water to ice using..... magic? I can't recall. You should have a character or item in your possession that can "freeze."

We need a proper translation FAQ of this game. I keep finding out more things while playing but I still am lost. I have only found the first 2 characters. The game is great so far and I want to find out all the secrets. I found a translation patch but i could not get it to work unlike the Pia Carrot patch.
