Need serious help with Cyber City Oedo 808

Anyone out there played it? i am seriously stuck and would appreciate any help.  i'm not to ofar into the game:

i got my robot buddy with me and we are on the 8th floor, i believe- waiting for the damn shuttle to show up.  i contacted police hq and they said they wanted me to check up on someone but couldn't remember their name; said they'd get back to me.  there is a strange woman in suglasses who isn't much help.  i can't get to the freakin' ambassador and i can't exit this floor.  what the hell is the trigger......hhhheeeeellllpppp!

When I first got it along with Snatcher back in the day, I couldn't get past the initial area. I think that people(hookers?) were talking about a key...

i am still stuck in the same area.  i triggered a few important events but can't figure out what is next....i will figure it out tonight.  anyone know of any websites in japanese that have pc engine walkthroughs? uuuuuuggggghhhh.

incidentally, CrackTiger mentioned snatcher and this kind of feels like it at times except it also has rpg elements of exploration (though not action or battles [yet]).
