Best type of media to backups

Considering the high prices of some PCFX games these days, I'm considering on using only backup CDRs, and keep my originals out of the risk of scratches and such.

So, what type of CD media you guys suggest for better compatibility? Black? Blue? Silver? Green? What Brands?
