Well since your other posts ARENT plugs trying to sell us stuff at stupid prices.  ie...

I suppose I'll let ya in   Any luck with that Duo R sound issue?  I know on standard duos its typically a capacitor issue.  Maybe the Duo-Rs aren't so perfectly reliable and everyone believes.  Could also be a slight laser adjustment issue also.

not yet, but i haven't had a chance to work on it.
i'm thinking that the issue is something just got out of calibration, i.e. the laser's angle is off.
I know that was a common issue with early ps2s, and i've fixed quite a few of those, just hoping i won't have to replace the laser.

If the parts arrive, I'll be region modding my regular Duo today.  The procedure is the same for a Duo-R only on a JP system you have to ground a certain pin on one of the mainboard chips.

I've been itching to start on a new turbo game after beating Bloody Wolf a couple days ago. That last boss was toughie. This game should fit in nicely. Besides, I could use some flare.
