Awesome ep guys as usual! Hey you know what would be really awesome? Doing a episode on all the Kingdom Hearts games. There are so many of them and it would definitely attract girl gamers to the show, also My wife is telling me that what she wants for her birthday is for Games sack to do an ep on all of the Kingdom hearts games.  She is also telling me that she wants a birthday greeting from Joe on the show but I told her it would not be good form to ask for this, unless I was willing to donate some games.  So what do you guys think?

Another good episode Joe.  It wasn't mentioned but how did you feel about the wireless controller?  For me playing games like Contra where I'm shooting diagnally was almost impossible with that thumb stick.  I really wish they had stuck with a d-pad there.

I didn't use their controller much since it let me use the real ones, but when I did use it I didn't like it. It feels really cheap and the thumbstick just kind of wiggles around if you don't touch it.

Sorry if this was answered before (and if it was, please point me in the right direction) but how do you guys record RGB video directly?  I don't think it's possible with the Elgato I use.  I'd love to record how beautiful the Master System looks in RGB.

Recording RGB is very complicated. It goes through and XPC-4 which is a little bitch that must be adjusted on a per-console basis and you have to manually input the settings each time.

You guys basically affirmed my hesitation when thinking of getting the R5.  I wanted to get it for my SNES (Actual system is in the closet and missing a power supply & really badly oxidized) I thought if the emulation was as good as they were advertising I would pick up an R5 as a space saving solution. However I see that its not for me, as you said the system is just not there yet, and its better to just get real hardware. Sigh, maybe the Retron 6 will add Turbo support and fix the issues

Best way I can descrip would be to close one eye move finger on virtial keyboard. Hoover on one key. Then close open eye and open previously closed eye

See how your figure is perceived to be in the wrong location?   


That's how my lack of depth perceptions messes with me. I am 100% guessing where my fingers will hit the keys which makes typing a pain.  Also makes press quote versus edit a pain


All that and when on my cell scroolng throughs. Quoted post to add my own comments very difficult as it gets stuck or doesn't move properly. So I end up commenting with in said quote.

Not sure if you were joking or honestly asking but here is your answer.

JJ is the editor for the Daily Bugal with the mustach and cigar who hates spider man and is always asking Peter Parker for more pictures of spider man. 

JJ better known as John Jamason has gone through many changes and is important for other reasons.  Most notiably he is the father of the astronaut that spider man saves which typically is linked with the symbiotic Venom (even though the first apperance is from the secrete wars comics).  Most currently in the main comics JJ was the mayor until he resigned.

Have you ever played Guilty Gear X, XX, XX #Reload, XX Slash, XX Accent Core, XX Accent Core Plus, XX Accent Core Plus R? All of these are better. I'm gonna go ahead and say that either Guilty Gear Petite 1 or 2 on the Wonderswan are possibly better than Vanilla Guilty Gear, well maybe not. Still, though, man-o-manatee, c'mon now, you have to be joking.

GG1 was charming in its own way; it had super swole combos, tons of infinites, and combo-ing into an instant kill was always hilarious.  I always thought of it as a proof of concept and GGX as like, the first prototype. I liked #Reload best overall though that's probably more to do with who I was and how I played games at the time rather than #R being legitimately the best game in the series.

/ felt like Guilty Gear on ice to me, it was slow and dull and most things I'd enjoyed with the earlier versions had been removed.  It's like Arc Systems Works looked at how a good portion of the XX and #R characters had such crazy combos and decided to tone most things down making the game slow and boring in the process. I was never quite sure if I liked Accent Core or not. It felt the exact opposite of / to me; instead of giving everyone homogenous and mild gameplay they gave everyone ridiculous crazy shit and then every combo ended up with ground bouncing, relaunching, wall bouncing, ground sliding nonsense combos that took too long to end so again I got bored.

The extent of my AC+R play has been beating up the local guys that fancy themselves Guilty Gear players.  There's not much of a scene for the game in Dallas these days.  Maybe it's great, I'll probably never know.  I'm Super looking forward to Xrd though.

I don't think that Slash was bad, I just didn't like it as much as I did #R.  When I try to play Guilty Gear today I keep thinking how I vastly prefer fighting games where you can do legitimate anti air attacks against the majority of jumps.  With Guilty Gear's high aerial mobility and safe ways to get in effortlessly it kinda takes out the thing that I now like most about fighting games, mid range footsies.

I am not a big fan of fighting games, but I love watching Joe and Dave blather about them, so they must be doing something right.

Anyway, I realized that I watch Game Sack expressly for this purpose: to hear/see games that are usually outside of my purview/forte.

For example, I never heard of one of the NEOGEO CD games they profiled in this episode, that was nice (to learn about something new).

Well, yeah, it was released in Japan as well, but the same went for that Firemen SNES game from the "left in Japan" episode 2, which got a European release. There are also some other games that were ported from Japan to Europe without an US release, like Parodius on the SNES. Or Trip World on the GameBoy.

So, how about a "games that never made it to the US" episode?
