You really don't know what you're missing.

The TG16 may be twice as wide as the PC-Engine but, when you take the dust cover off, it looks like a big tasty candy bar! Yumm! Yum!!

I bought my current TG-16 three years ago from a dealer in new york. The unit he sent me has not a single scratch on it, and still has the peal off plastic cover for the label on the system. I paid $55 and got blazing lazers for free with it.

Elabit, i was posting in response to shrapnoid, maybe i should have been more clear. the point was that it is possible to find them in very good shape even after all these years.

Besides form factor and integrated system card, is there any advantage to a turbo duo over a tg-16 with cd attachment?  Is there any reliability issues with the tg-16 cd player?

The biggest reason to own a Duo is ..................... The Duo is a Sexy machine built for speed  =P~

The ability to use PCE controllers is one - there's a much wider variety of controllers available for PCE than turbo.

Hmm, that's a good point.  Aren't there converters available though?

The reason I ask is, I've been looking into getting a duo of some sort (pc or turbo) and then maybe a base system from the opposite country so I have most of the games covered.  Because of this I havent really been on the lookout for a tg16 cd player but one just popped up on my local craigslist with a tg16, CD and base, the carrying case, and 35 games for 350.  The games alone caught  my interest but I'm not sure I really want the tg16/cd setup . . .

Could you post a link to the sale or get a screenshot of the pics posted for it and maybe copy and paste the description that the seller posted?

If I could get a good enough look at it and see the sales description, I might be able to form an opinion for you.

This is a Turbo Grafx system complete with original cords, hard plastic carrying case, 1 controller, and 5 way controller Turbo Tap. It includes both card game system and cd game system which both work perfectly. Included is 30 card games and 5 cd games in cases with ALL books. There are a few blemishes here and there but overall it is in perfect condition with not a single scrath on the cd games. I've checked on Ebay periodically, prices for these items are up and down but I have yet to find something as complete as this. It is truly a collectors item but I must finaly sacrifice it.

Esteban will take your life.
Indeed. How darest thou mock TG-16's aesthetic beauty?

I mean, if the TG-16 + TurboBooster can look that svelte, imagine how sweet a lonesome TG-16 is!
