Why do I always look at this thread? Why do I want to be reminded of how old we are?

Even the young folks are too old.

I was 14 and I had just gotten my first job washing dishes.  That was the only way I was able to get one.

If it was August 29th, then I was 7 years and 2 days old. :) Back then, though, the only thing on my radar was NES. I was probably busy watching my brother play stuff like Castlevania II, Zelda II, and Bionic Commando. Probably playing Super Mario Bros. 2 myself.

I sadly sold my NES and games to fund the purchase of TG-16. I have argued that this (beginning of 16-bit generation) was a great time for NES-owners. I played tons of great games released for NES at this time. It was bittersweet--I loved TG-16 and Genesis--but some of the best games in those early years were on the NES.
