Auto log-in never seems to work (I've done all the obvious cookie/security checking etc)

In the past I was auto logged in when I clicked 'profile' which returned me to the forum (not the profile page), but now it's not working at all and I have to log in on every visit. Anyone else having a similar issue?

On my main home computers, auto log-in works fine.

HOWEVER, when I log on from work / school, I always have to log on TWICE. Otherwise, I'm still considered a guest. Sounds like you have a similar problem.

It is not unique to pcenginefx... I have the exact same problem with magicenginefx forums.

Bizarre.

This happens when you sign in on other computers.

yeah, you're right... but I shouldn't have to log-in twice. Once should do it. It's weird.

I'm now getting the log in twice thing quite frequently. I don;t know why it's happened all of a sudden, but it's damn annoying.

jlued686

Yeah, it really is quite annoying.  I had to log on twice, and then had to log on again to post this message.

I've adjusted a few settings which pertain to how the cookies are stored.  Please let me know if you continue to have trouble with the login.

Are all forums hidden to unregistered users now?  I had to log in to see all of the different forums, where as I didn't need to before.

Yeah I was having mad amounts of trouble for a couple days, now it seems ok.

Yes I have added some additional layers of security for the site due to some attacks...sorry about that.

If anyone has further issues with login, please make sure to clear your cookies in whatever browser you choose to use....should work fine after that.

Had a bit of a panic these last few days, but clearing cookies did the trick :)

Didn't work for me, unfortuntately.  For some reason, it took me nearly 20 minutes just to log in just now.  And even though the "who's on" list at the bottom said I was logged in, I still couldn't see any of the forums.  I just closed my browser and reopened it a few times and it magically worked.

Labor...intensive...

jlued686

Sorry Aaron, but your forums are jacked.  I finally was able to view them by using IE, but Mozilla doesn't work at all for me.  It says that I'm logged in (I can see my screen name in the "Who's Online"), but the login box is still there and I can't see any of the forums.  Any idea of what's wrong or how to fix it?

PCEngineFX

You did clear your cache and re-open Mozilla right jlued686?

Absolutely.  But now it's working fine in Mozilla for some reason.  Hmm...
