Well, it's a sad day. I've decided to finally bite the bullet and sell my prized collection of Turbo stuff. Long story short, I'm getting married soon and need to clear space as much as I need to raise funds. To let you know how much of a Turbo fan I was/am, I bought all of these games at retail price when they were new releases. Oh, and I'm STILL waiting for NEC to crush Nintendo in market share :P

Rather than stick things on eBay and let my precious collection fall into the hands of resellers or casual fans, I figured I'd post here and let some true fans get a crack at them first. This collection consists of hardware, Japanese and American HuCards, and Japanese and American CDs.

Unless otherwise specified, ALL HuCard games comes with original HuCard case, original instruction booklet/cover, plastic cover, and HuCard. All CD games come with original CD case, original instruction booklet/cover, and CD. They do not come with original outer box.

If you're interested in any of these, here's what to do: drop me an email at hcl777@gmail.com listing out each item you'd like, as well as a price next to each item of what you'd be willing to pay for it. If you have any questions, just email me or post to this thread and I'll answer them.

I'll collect all the emails over the next few weeks, and the highest offer for each item will get that item. This won't be an auction-style sale (for example, I won't email person #2 saying "person #1 offered this much, can you match it?"), so I'd recommend bidding the highest you'd be willing to pay, no more, no less. If I see an offer I like, I may sell to that person right away, so email me early if you see something you really want.

I'll ship based on weight; in most costs it'll be through Priority Mail Flat Rate shipping, but for hardware we can discuss the shipping method you prefer.

Whatever's left afterwards I'll sell on eBay.

Good luck! Oh, and TG-16 forever! :)

Wow, thanks for the PMs and emails everyone! I'm going to need a little time to sort through them, and I do want to give everyone who's interested a chance to contact me, so apologies if I take a little longer to respond.

Just a reminder to include an offer price if possible. If you're looking for these things, chances are you're going to know the market value a lot better than I do.

It's really nice to see that there's still so much interest in the beloved Turbo :) Even though I'm bidding goodbye to my collection, I'll still plan on visiting the forums to relive the good times! :)

Just curious what is he accepting for his games? He's taking the highest offers. Does that mean he's gonna sit on the games till he gets a high offer, or is he willing to take less then ebay numbers?

I don't think so.  He's allowing everyone to PM him with an offer and then he's going to accept the one he likes best, most obviously the highest offer.  There won't be any counter-offers.  At least that's how I understood it.

Yeah it seems like it, that is to bad I was hoping to get Gate of Thunder and the converter card from him.

Sorry everyone...I was on a business trip and then have been spending the few weeks or so trying to catch up on a bunch of stuff (which of course includes wedding stuff, which I'm even more behind on!!)

I've started to reply to some folks who responded, and I've updated the original post marking items that have been claimed. Hint: if you're interested in any of the remaining games, please include the best price you're willing to pay--unfortunately I don't have time to bargain nor even look up the FMV of the games, so I'll basically take the first offer that looks reasonable.

Again, my apologies if I'm slow in responding or don't respond at all...nothing personal, just a bit swamped right now. I'll also try to be better about following up with questions on this thread. But again, if you're already written with a "what would you take for such-and-such" message, please try again with an actual offer. Also, you'll get a quicker response if you email me directly vs. PMing, although I'll definitely respond to both.

Thanks much!

Bernie

I wouldn't say it's a blind auction as much as a "first reasonable offer gets first dibs" type deal.

Apologies if you're written and I haven't gotten back to you yet--in most cases I'm waiting on someone who's already expressed interest. If that person backs out, I'll contact the next person, and so on. In the meantime, please feel free to make offers on whatever's left.

Thanks!

Received my games today.  You really need to use some bubble wrap or packing paper.  You can't just throw games into an priority envelope and not expect them to arrive damaged.  Two of the jewel cases were completely smashed.  The HU cards and manuals survived, but now I have to go through the hassle of finding replacement cases.

That's not bad at all, just go to goodwill buy a few 99 cent CDs and use there cases. I agree if you're going to sell games you need to pack it in something, but if somethings going to be messed up that's what you want it to be.

That's not really the point, but yes I'm going to have to do this.  However this wasn't the only issue with the games.  I just didn't want to air everything in a public forum without the author responding to my email.

[EDIT]hcl777 contacted me and offered me a partial refund.  I just wanted to let everyone here know.  He was very apologetic.  Thank you very much hcl777.

I got my games last week and everything is all good.  Unfortunately, one (CD) game has a noticeable scratch but after testing didn't seem to affect gameplay.  The manual is also stiff/waterlogged, but I'm VERY happy with the rest.  In the future it would be better to list conditions more clearly, as well as ship in boxes (though mine arrived uncracked).  But he is a nice guy and I appreciate that he offered them here first.
Thanks again and good luck with the rest of your sale!

So, do you have anything left?
I sent you an e-mail a week ago, but I haven't gotten a response yet.

It took him a while to get back to me as well, but he did reply.  He is very busy with wedding preparations.
