pcengine-fx.com Forum Upgrades/Changes starting 12/28/05

Starting today, the forum will going through some changes as I slowly get to them over the next few weeks.  Please watch this post as I will be updating it with the changes as I make them.

12/28 - Ranking system added
Now, depending on how many posts you have will determine how many smileys and character name you have (taken from Bonk's Adventure).  The rank chart is as follows:

0 Smileys = 0 Posts/"Jerry Jelly"
1 Smileys = 100 Posts/"Floret Sprung"
2 Smileys = 300 Posts/"Venus Bonktrap"
3 Smileys = 500 Posts/"Roz Erback"
4 Smileys = 700 Posts/"Kongo Zilla"
5 Smileys = 1000 Posts/"Punchy Pedro"
6 Smileys = Admin only/"King Drool"

12/28 - Login security changed
From now on, you must be logged in to view the boards.  Also, the way the board cookies are located has changed, so please clear your browser cookies if you have login issues.

12/28 - Added 19 more emoticons
Now when you post, if you click on "view more emoticons" you will find 19 additional emoticons to choose from.

12/28 - Site style update & name change
- The top header layout has been changed, organizing menu options better.
- Title graphic has been upated and the name changed to "The NEC Console Community".
- Added new topic/forum title background image
- Forum now does not resize to browser width and is set at 800 pixels wide.
- Forum now has an IE bookmark image (original Bonk)

Could it be possible to center the main table instead of aligning it on the left border?

The site design is set to mimic the parent site which is pcengine-fx.com, so making it centered would break that continuity...sorry.

You guys should have seen the site years ago when I used to create a new look every few months for the main pcengine-fx.com site.  I'm sure some of the long-time visitors remember those days...
