It can't be good when the seller is not answering a simple question.

Decisions, decisions. Should I get this and Dracula X or should I get the lot with 35 CDs?

PunkCryborg

just for a reference point, last couple sold here were about $35-40

Bernie

Yeah I paid aprox 40 for my pc engine Cotton.  Really is no difference in the two.  Well none worth nothing anyway.  You can select English text for the game too.

Also you can hear the dialog in the cutscenes. So unless you're a collector, there's no need to pursue the rare US version.

So, exactly what is the difference between the Japanese-released version and the U.S.-released version other than the U.S.-released version being much rarer?

esadajr

The japanese version has voice acting for the cutscenes.

Other than the missing voice acting in the US version, I don't think there is any difference.

I just got it on the mail :D

The Japanese version actually has an option to choose Japanese, Chinese, or English words for the 'story'.  Right?
So, if there were no graphical or gameplay upgrades to the U.S. version, like Magical Chase, then the Japanese version would actually be 'better' right?

esadajr

I agree, the Jap version is better.

I think I am thinking about different people now that I think of it.  Game of Japan is HitJapan on eBay.  I was thinking of Jump to Japan, or something like that...  ugh I am too tired to think right now.  3 weeks really isnt that long though, considering it was the holidays and all.  Normally its like 2 weeks anyway.

A wise decision. Your PCE will thank you for it.

Already bought 2 games including Legend of Faxanadu.

Will keep an eye open for other games. I need to slow down a bit... play some game and then buy more ;)
