Huh,

There I was across the street at my friends house, and some guy who lives there has a bunch of stuff strewn around in boxes...something caught my eye, and I bent to investigate. Sure enough, it was Double Dungeons..along with 10 or 12 more Turbo games all in their cd cases..The guy was on vacation but I guess he was just going to throw them away! I was also told by my friend.."yeah, he's got a few more of these weird games..never seen'em before..he'll probably just give em to you.."  Imagine..I thought I was the only one in my town who had this stuff...

Can't wait til he gets back and I'll give a full report! -Doom

Why can't this happen to me? I've yet to find another person, by chance, who is getting rid of TG-16 stuff. Even if they were all games I already owned, it would be so fun to spot TG-16 items "in the wild".

I removed the other thread for you. Here was my post on it:

Wow, that sounds exciting for you. I know if there was another person in my town that had Turbo stuff, I'd be excited too. Please tell us how everything goes, you could probably save lotsa money too.

In the 'wild'  I always hope to find TG stuff at a garage sale.

The closest I ever came was finding a Sega Genesis CDX system with 16 Genesis/Sega CD games in a paper bag for $20.

I've actually made my wife pull over a few times because I thought I saw a stack of Turbo boxes at a garage sale once......lol

She thinks I'm pretty strange.
Jossshhhhh...Legendary TurboTrollX-16: He revenge-bans PCE Developers/Ys IV Localizers from PCE Facebook groups and destroyed 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Josh and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner (extortion/blackmail!), never himself nor his deranged, destructive, toxic turbo troll gang!

Thanks Keranu!

Yah, Steve,  this is the first time it has happened to me, finding TG stuff in the "wild" (I love that term).  The dude still isn't back yet but it was so exciting. My town is very small, no street lights, lots of Duke boy roads and is literally up in the mountains of northern VT. This guy is relatively new to town. Perhaps this is what archaeologists must feel ...:) -Doom

At the local Anime(hentai) shop, back when I first moved to the big city years ago, the eccentric shop owner offered me a box full of games that he fished out of the dumpster over at EA on a tip.

Thats where I got Shining In The Darkness + Shining Force MD. I don't remember all the PC Engine games that there were, but Snatcher was one of them, which he removed saying he was keeping it, even though he(and I) already had it.

This must've been like '98.

All I remember is that the games were actually some really nice PCE & MD titles and that I was so shocked that EA would supply their developers with such quality imports to play for inspiration(since not much of it apparently rubbed off on them).

Haahahhaaa. No, not much rubbed off on the developers :) .

I am crying as I read your story, though. I would die just to get ONE GAME in the manner you described.

All I can share with you are the sad tales of all the games my brothers and I lost over the years when we "lent" them to friends. Seriously, I can't even think about all of the movies, music, books and games that I wish I could get back now.

Yeah, I lost ALOT in my last move. Luckily, I contoinue to discover lost gems on a regular basis.

My most recent and important find includes a huge stack of HuCard sleeves in a box with pages and pages of my old notes from back in the day that I worked with beating games like Kabuki Den and Snatcher.
