Psycho Nulltard

Gentlemen,

At risk of being flagged a spammer, I wanted to share with you something which I've been working on over the last few months, but dreaming about doing for over a decade...

://DoxPhile

At this time, the site is incomplete but should still have enough content to keep you modestly entertained for a short while and give you an idea of what is to come in the future.  And to bribe you into visiting,  I'll be giving away a Club Turbo catalog on Halloween Night to one lucky individual who registers an account and makes at least one post so I know they aren't a spambot.

I had hoped to have the "killer feature" ready for launch, but the reality of parenthood and my day-to-day grind made me realize that I had to launch now, otherwise the raffle would be over with only a handful of PCEngine community chat patrons in the running for it.  See, I'd foolishly announced this raffle thinking the site would be 100% ready to launch weeks ago.

In any event, without further rambling, the stuff that's there right now:
  • 9 game magazines are available for browsing, with tags leading back to each of the...
  • 144 game info pages, which each contain a discussion forum and also have the tags leading back to the...
  • 183 page scans (with 278 tags in all at the moment)
Every week I've been adding a magazine or two to the Media Archive, and virtually every day more information is added to our Games Database

The killer feature that isn't there just yet is the ability to put a checkmark in the "i own that" box next to anything in the database (including sub-items like case, manual, sleeve, map, etc...) and have it linked to your forum profile where you can earn achievements (goofy titles, badges, ect..).  Beyond just building a personal collection database, I also plan to allow users to flag items in their collection as available for sale or trade, so that everyone may browse each others' offerings in a marketplace of sorts.

So there you have it.  My long winded way of saying "hey, look what I made... come tinker with it!".  I know not everything I'm offering is unique among sites in this community, but I hope you'll find the whole is more than the sum of its parts.

--------------UPDATE-------------
Random.com chose a winner for this raffle:

Thanks to all who entered, and thanks to everyone else who checked out the site!  I hope to see you all around there in the future- but don't get your hopes up, I'll still be around here as well!  Hahha

I've prepared a consolation prize for everyone, too, in the form of uploading the 17th magazine to the site.  Turbo Play #13 (June/July '92):

Psycho John Moriconi sabotaged/destroyed TWO PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook (Cuz Chris Runyon!), then the other by Aaron Nanto (Cuz Le NightWolve!)!!! John and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together mainly because he's also a PCE admin who worked VERY hard to poach members for HIS OWN site which has been an abysmal failure now marred by a legacy of utter mass destruction/harassment/doxxing alliances with KKKFarms . net even despite their involvement in Byuu/Near's suicide! BOTH times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner (blackmail/extortion!), never himself nor his deranged, destructive, toxic turbo troll gang of DildoKKKobolds!

If you suspect he & his gang of psycho cyber bully friends did it on purpose, thought it through to its logical conclusion, preplanned it years before (never let a good crisis go to waste & create it if need be!) and that the PCEFX chatbox launch was just a pretense, you'd be correct...

It must be the glaucoma!  ( ;  I'll change it to an easier to see captcha... that one threw me for a loop a few times, too, and honestly, i don't think it has deterred too many spambots despite being fiendishly difficult to decipher.
Same here, I exceeded my attempts and no joy.  My vision is decent!

A funny story about this, but back in the mid-late 90's, I was ordering some games over the phone from TZD> One of which was Deep Blue. The guy on the phone said, "Are you sure" and recommended some other games. Asked if I owned any of them. Some I did, but, anyway, I wanted Deep Blue, and they tried talking me out of it. I ordered it. Well, it wasn't horrible, but, I didn't play it much. I see why they tried to talk me out of, the maybe 3 games I was ordering, that specific one.

The message was pretty much, "Don't do it". I wanted to do it, and that made me want to do it just a bit more. Why so much fuss?

I frequently purchase games of ill-repute, but I go into it knowing that I might be disappointed. I am emotionally/psychologically prepared for trauma.

However, I would still respect/appreciate anyone who was looking out for me (whether they attributed my intentions to be the result of ignorance or naïveté, I wouldn't be offended).

Haha, indeed. And on that topic we have the Sept '91 EGM (at least the Turbo related pages):

TZD gave less shit as time went on. Even in the mid-late 90's, they looked out for people. no matter how much BS you may hear about them during their closing sale, all I could gather, is they hated "nerds". I treated it, in the early days of TZD, and to the end, as a business. I got my interest across, they did theirs, I got my product, they got their money, no problems. Never had any problems there. Other than, another fun story, in 03 or so, afte they hadn't heard from me in a while, and I ordered maybe $100 in stuff, the "guy" there asked me, "______, you have a girlfriend?" It was him busting balls, later on, 10 years ago. I buy no game sand stuff for a while and I was back. I got some good deals, he broke my balls about why after 5 years or so I am there again, etc. Good memories. Decent people (later, "person").

Fun times. never to repeat!

Honestly, I never bought anything from them, nor have I heard anything about them.  But I always wanted to order from them, and given your stories I regret that I never did!
Not to derail this anymore, but, to clarify "Nerds", what I meant is one time I heard about someone who complained about a small tear on the shrinkwrap, or something like that. That the glue on the turbo cable (TG-16 extension cable) display package dried up over the years, so the plastic bubble would usually be loose from the card with the hook at the top for hanging on peg-board, how the lack off attached plastic bubble for the TG-16 extension made it no longer new, etc.  Some people wanted the newest new possible, no damage to the shrinkwrap/packaging, because the person was going to keep it as a sealed game.

I should have said, "Very Picky People".

It reminds me of when I see people selling used turbo/PCE hucard games, and remarking on the description, "no insertion marks", "Light insertion marks", or something to that effect. Insertion marks...
