I'm one of those who have owned one for years but it took the Hori controller for me to play it recently.

I tried to post a pic but haven't figured out how to on this site...I know f'n dumbass

You may like the original N64 controller (more power to you) but I do not and no amount of discussion (defending it's design) will change my opinion.

I definitely need to get something like that, where the analog stick isn't painfully at the centre.
Justin the Not-So-Cheery Black/Hack/CrackTiger helped Joshua Jackass, Andrew/Arkhan Dildovich and the DildoPhiles destroy 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged/destructive/doxxing toxic turbo troll gang which he covers up for under the "community" euphemism!

I am sure it works awesome, but that is one of the ugliest Hori controllers of all time. I have always kept an eye for one tho but those always seem pricey on ebay.

I don't find it painful at all, but that hori pad is such a better design. Why oh why didn't Nintendo come out with it is far beyond me.

That's where I ended up getting it. They just seemed to be slowly rising in price so I said screw it. I can't say I regret it, a R.I.P. gamer named Breetai mentioned it so I have him to thank.

Blake was really well-known around these parts. :(

I had a N64 also - most games are dated nowadays of course.
My favourites were Mario 64, Killer Instinct Gold, Sin & Punishment, Yuke Yuke Troublemakers, Yoshis Story, Wave Race 64, Banjo Kazooie, 1080, Goldeneye & the reason imo to own the system alone - the best version of Bangai - Oh.
Seriously I'm on the fence for years on the system just for that one game (and yes I know about the Dreamcast version but it doesn't even come close )

Although it is dated, used N64 is worth price of admission for just Blast Corps alone

Blast Corps was awesome... getting those platinum medals became an obsession for me!

My all time favorites are Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, and Shadowgate 64..

Ocarina was OK. Played the hell out of Mario Kart and 007. I think what killed it for me was the fact that BOTH Castlevania games sucked ass. I love me some Castlevania.

Shadowgate 64, cool... that's one you don't hear mentioned very often.

There wasn't much stuff released on the N64 overall, but there were some great ones to be sure...

Banjo-Kazooie (& Tooie)
Beetle Adventure Racing
Conker's Bad Fur Day
Goemon's Great Adventure (& Mystical Ninja)
Zelda OoT (& Majora's Mask, which is probably the darkest entry the series will ever see)
Paper Mario
Mario 64
Starfox 64
Bangai-O
Body Harvest
Blast Corps
DK 64
Goldeneye
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Mario Kart 64
Ogre Battle 64
Sin & Punishment

... and two of my favorites, Mischief Makers & Space Station Silicon Valley.

I really liked how the 64 handled Resident Evil 2.
