Is there any evidence that playing burned games causes any extra wear on the system? I use verbatim discs and burn with Imgburn. It's free and easy to use. I've yet to have a problem.

The system is dead, NEC is not making them anymore and they are not producing the games anymore. I will say I prefer to have the actual product but I don't see why this is any different then the Turbo EverDrive which no one seems to have a problem with people using that so why have a problem with burned discs?

Any disc having issues will make the system work harder
Burnt discs are fine when they read easy, if your having loading issues/audio dropouts the system is having trouble reading.
A damaged original will be just as bad 2

I was really lucky and was able to snag a copy of Dungeon Explorer II (sadly no manual but with original case and back art) by trading some CIB GameBoy Advance games and a couple of GameCube wave bird controllers at Frank N Sons collectible show in Southern California a couple of months back.

$200 definitely seems like a fare price for a complete version, but I say stay patient and you'll come across a great deal for it sooner or later
