Thanks everyone, and oh, I've won a few other things in raffles here: 1) CD-Rom bootleg of Sapphire from Mishran?, 2) A sealed new copy of "Far East of Eden (Tengai Makyou): Kabuki Den" from Bernie, and 3) a Youkai Dochuki / (AKA "Monster Diaries" or "Shadowland") HuCard although I didn't really win it (somebody else did), the person just threw an extra one in my direction.

Heh-heh. Well, just to recap, see my research/findings on that argument:

It would appear a US Namco division chose "Shadowland" for the Arcade version when they brought it to the US which is how that title got into usage, thus it's not "wrong" per se. Sure, it's a liberties-taking title for marketing or whatever, but yeah.

Update: I received the game yesterday. Smooth sailing. But honestly, when I look at this HuCard - the poor thing - it's a miracle that it actually works. I still can't believe it!

It looks like our buddy Bernie here once owned it and it met a fateful encounter with an unattended blow dryer and lost... ;) You can see the imprint of where the 2 memory cells are and I didn't think it was gonna be able to slide into my Express, but it did so just fine. I played and finished stage 1, no problems. Might post a video for the hell of it later.

The real winner here is the fine engineering for making nigh indestructible hu-cards.  I'm really impressed that the thing works.

Congrats on winning an awesome raffle and getting a fantastic game.  My copy of Soldier Blade also has damage (nice melted thumb print) but on the front.  Gives it character.
