I would've taken the $20 super system card (quite the steal) and skipped the rest, as you could easily have picked up the remaining titles for under $580 (using null's prices and/or buying stuff here).


Not surprisingly, null is using fool's logic and completely ignoring that lots sell for far less than the sum of their parts and that the ebay sellers would've eaten 15% in fees.

Please continue sharing your recent additions, and your thoughts on the games, but don't fuel the haters by including the amount you paid.

I am not saying this is fair, but please consider it...lots of folks keep this private, anyway. If more folks shared their actual costs, I suspect that we would have even more arguments.

Also, people would lie about the "great deals" they got.

not surprisingly, NecroPhile is being a dick in some fantasy land where I said anything remotely related to lots and fees, or claimed in any way that neutopia6 got a great deal. All I said, which is irrefutable fact, is that if he tried to buy those titles individually on ebay and scored the lowest price, he would have paid more.  I didn' care to spend hours combing through all the sold lots to mix and match that set of games to find the magical set of auctions that would have landed those titles at a lower price. And even if i had, the seller's fees are not a factor in the equation of "what buyer pays" in any way.

I personally wouldn't have bought the lot. Like you, I'd grab the system card and be on my way.

It sounds like you are the one with a collectors ego. You are offended that people familiar with your new console dared to advise you not to pay $50 for Keith Courage. You've proven that you are both grossly out of touch with Turbo pricing and shopping, yet when given invaluable advice you take it as people making fun of you.

But Turbo fans do have a right to be concerned when you blindly pay whatever people ask. This is how collectards have artificially inflated the market, by preying on the ignorant and gullable gotta-gave-it-now insta set collectards. You should instead be asking why everyone is being so helpful and patient with you.

Yeah, I am a game collector, what's wrong with that, I play everything I get too, don't collect for the sake of it, I collect because twenty years of gaming has made me happy, its my passion, I love this stuff, there's nothing wrong with collecting, its rare I splurge on top priced games, my last deal I felt very good about, scoring some great stuff.

It's a really cool little game, but unfortunately it feels a little sparse and empty.  Might have been rushed out a bit?  I like it, though.  Made it four stages in, can't wait to see what happens.

It's a really cool little game, but unfortunately it feels a little sparse and empty.  Might have been rushed out a bit?  I like it, though.  Made it four stages in, can't wait to see what happens.

Götzendoober is a fun, little romp, and sadly there weren't more games in the genre on PCE.

Not without problems, but worth playing...I can't believe I ever hesitated on giving it a chance.
