Where do the legend of heroes games for PSP fall into the PC Engine games. I played through the first one on Turbo Duo, and since they never released the second one in the US , just wondering if there is a possibility of getting to play it on PSP.

Seldane

The Legend of Heroes I - PC Engine (+Turbo Duo)
The Legend of Heroes II - PC Engine
The Legend of Heroes III - PSP (called LoH II: Prophecy of the Moonlight Witch in English)
The Legend of Heroes IV - PSP (called LoH (1): A Tear of Vermilion in English)
The Legend of Heroes V - PSP (not out [yet?] in English)
The Legend of Heroes VI - PSP (Falcom themselves are porting this. No plans for an English release.)

I hope you get my idea with this list. As you can see, the first English LoH for PSP is actually LoH4 and the second is LoH3. This is supposedly because LoH3 suffered from bad loading times, etc. in the Japanese version that they might have fixed for its English release. Also, LoH3-5 is a trilogy but the events in LoH4 happens before LoH3.

Wow good to know. Thanks for the list. So no remake of number 2 made huh? Does 3-6 have the same characters or is 1 and 2 on there own?

Seldane

No, 1-2 are related, 3-5 are related. These two "series" aren't sharing anything else other than the name.

Then there's The Legend of Heroes VI First Chapter and The Legend of Heroes VI Second Chapter. SC is a direct sequel to FC. These games are only available for PC in Japanese. As I mentioned earlier, Falcom's going to port the first game to PSP. Maybe they'll port the second chapter after that.

cool thanks for all the info. I think I am going to track down the PSP game and give it a shot.

LOH 2 on Turbo is playable, since the menus are the same.  I got rather far, but I got sidetracked, & lost my data after letting my Turbo sit there for eons.  I'll pick it up again one of these days.

Just as a reminder : Legend Of Heroes 7&8 are no less than Legend Of Xanadu 1&2, both released as Super CD-ROM2 games

That's not true at all. The Legend of Heroes VI (6) got released in 2004, why would they release The Legend of Heroes 7 in 1994? Makes no sense to me.

The Legend of Xanadu is Dragon Slayer VIII ( 8 ). The Legend of Xanadu II is also Dragon Slayer VIII ( 8 ). It is strange, I know -- but that's what it is.

The Legend of Heroes is Dragon Slayer VI (6). The Legend of Heroes II is also Dragon Slayer VI (6). It is strange, I know -- but that's what it is.

Sorry, couldn't resist repeating myself, but everything I just said is true.

That is all correct.  The Legend of Xanadu games say Dragon Slayer VIII & Last of Dragon Slayer respectively, not Legend of Heroes 8 or whatever.  I know back in the day when LOX came out, seeing Dragon Slayer 8 was confusing, since I had always thought of Dragon Slayer Legend of Heroes, as the first Dragon Slayer, but it's not.  Now I know, & knowing's half the battle!

Companies do this all the time.

Tengai Makyou Zero came out after I, II and around the same time as IV. Then almost a decade later, part III was finally released.

Numbers don't have to mean much. They're mainly just a marketing ploy(look at Star Wars).

There's never been much of a real sequel to Phantasy Star. Most of the offshoots are now based off of PSII.

Ys III isn't a true sequel to I & II, but its still a cool game in its own right.
Justin the Not-So-Cheery Black/Hack/CrackTiger helped Joshua Jackass, Andrew/Arkhan Dildovich and the DildoPhiles destroy 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged/destructive/doxxing toxic turbo troll gang which he covers up for under the "community" euphemism!
