I spent many hours mapping out 'Order of the Griffon' on graph paper then transferred the maps to a spreadsheet so I could save them on my computer and print them out only to find that I could have just downloaded them from the internet. Oh well, I like my custom maps and the experience of doing it is unforgettable.

Hang in there Matt! I second Double Dungeons and Order of the Griffon. While not a dungeon crawler, if you've got Dragon Force that's one I only play when I have all sorts of time, which never happens anymore.

Phantasy Star should remain at the top of your list, after that I recommend Shining in the Darkness and Shining the Holy Ark.

I still have decades-old graph paper maps that I made for those first two games.

Other than that, AD&D Treasure of Tarmin is a great language-free dungeon crawler with smooth 3D dungeons. Each floor generates randomly though, so no need for graph paper on every level.
Justin the Not-So-Cheery Black/Hack/CrackTiger helped Joshua Jackass, Andrew/Arkhan Dildovich and the DildoPhiles destroy 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged/destructive/doxxing toxic turbo troll gang which he covers up for under the "community" euphemism!

Quick one-armed status update. Went for my first follow-up appointment yesterday and the orthopedic surgeon confirmed that I had 3 shoulder fractures, but was also happy to report that I still won't need shoulder surgery.

I go back Monday to get the staples removed from my lower back and to see how my surgical implants are doing.

I have no words to really express my gratitude to you fine people. You're my family and I'll always love you all.

And now for something c0mpletely different....  Been playing Dragon's Curse this afternoon.

ParanoiaDragon

I've been under the knife 7 times in my life(mainly as a kid for my cleft palette & lip).  The less one can get by without surgery, the better, though, sometimes it's just plain necessary.  Glad to hear you don't need it!

Did I miss something? What's wrong with the totally awesome Dragon's Curse?

Aw I'm so sad to hear that, PD. God bless.

Good to hear you don't have to get shoulder surgery. I've had surgery on BOTH of my shoulders. I'm fully functional but I'd dread having to arm wrestle someone. When I think about it I can feel the affects of it but normally it's fine.

Along with your gall bladder too? God bless ya, joejoe.

I can't bend over til my Dr says so, and yet, my shoulder is killing me the most right now with the exception of my energy levels. Detoxing off of a few weeks of pain meds blows but I'm stopping the opiate train now while I still can.

Mathius

After months of shoulder pain and being told I'm fine and the bones are healed I went to get a 2nd opinion. Turns out I still have two fractures and I have what is called floating shoulder. Looks like I get to go under the knife a week from Friday to have screws installed

The Doc said he has never seen these two breaks at the same time and I'll be out of action for about 4 months. The actual sucky part is I have to wear a giant sling, even in bed, for 6 weeks. I'm gonna have such a hard time getting comfortable at night. Just an FYI

Can you still game like that? How's TFV treatin' ya?

Sorry... couldn't resist...

Glad to hear that at least you've found a doctor who can finish fixing you up!
The real scary part is watching a person's face contort when the doc asks for his backside to "open wide"

Oh man I didn't think about that! I would hope so since my hand will be resting at my stomach.

Thunder Force V.  :)

Hopefully you'll be able to. Can't let that boredom creep in. There's only so many books one can read before a game break is needed.

Oh! Yeah that game and me have been snubbing each other lately. Gotta work on that. :)

Don't worry, touch pad games (phone, tablet) will work with your nose. Plus, you might be the first person to complete Monument Valley with only your nose (or penis, but I think it needs to be semi-hard for more precision/best results).

Sorry to hear to Matt, that sucks! I've sometimes thought about getting a motor bike for short trips when I need to pick something up quick, but then there's getting caught in the rain, and oh yes, the result of an accident or missing that big ole pothole you should've avoided works differently than if you were in a car... :/

Suddenly the iconic scene from The Matrix has a completely different subtext!

Also, if you would like, I can share a list of "nose-friendly" games that are available for iOS/Android.

Q: Who needs Oculus Rift when you can play Temple Run with your nose?

A: Nobody.

Wow. I just saw this thread. Sorry to hear about your accident Mathius. Hope you're doing ok financially through this recovery.

I ride a supersport and have had many near misses. There's always that pending danger right around the corner. I have a friend that rides and crashed 3 bikes. I've been riding for 3-4 years and haven't downed my bike yet (crosses fingers).

Thanks. That means a lot coming from you. We are blessed to have the people in our lives that we do (that includes you guys!) and are making the bills partly thanks to them.

Don't be like me and always wear a helmet and don't drive "too fast"
