Duo-R RGB issue

So I've had both my Super CD-ROM² and Duo-R systems modded for RGB.
Not a recent thing. This was done years ago.

For the longest time I've been using the Super CD-ROM² unit. The Duo-R had been stored away.
The other day I had some friends over and just decided to fire up the Duo-R.

So the issue is that via RGB (RGB to Component) I'm now getting these mixed up colors on the Duo-R.
Picture is still crisp but instead of Yellow I'm getting Purple, and instead of Blue I'm getting Green. And vice versa.

Strange. Yeah.

Any idea what's up?

BTW, I must add that each system when modded was given back to me with their own respective RGB cables. I can't find the RGB cable for my Duo-R, so I'm using the one supplied with the Super CD-ROM². But that in itself shouldn't be the issue. Yes?

Are you using a different RGB AV cable than what you originally got with the DUO-R? Looks like the wires for the colors are mixed up.

If you don't want to modify the cable to fix it then you can have someone swap the color wires to the correct place on your DUO-R AV jack.

Because people assign different pins for the R, G and B signals on the AV port when they mod systems the pinouts are different on the Super CD ROM 2 and the Duo-R. You need the correct cable for the Duo-R, or you need to change the wiring on the AV port of the Duo-R as Keith suggests.

Ok. Thanks for that info guys.

I reckon I'll go with swapping the color wires on the AV jack of the Duo-R.

I'm going to take it over to a local guy that changed the caps on my Sega PAC. He did a good job with that. I'm pretty sure he can handle this as well.

It should be a piece of cake, it will the longer to open her up than to swap the wires around. Good luck!

Looks like green and blue wire is different. Yellow comes from red + Green and purple from Red + Blue.

Red seems OK, green and blue flipped would produce what you saw.

So I went just now and picked up the Duo-R. The colors are all displaying correctly now.

Totally unrelated to the above, but I didn't particularly want to create a new thread for such a minor issue.
This is with regard to the Super CD-ROM².
What do you guys use for that stiff Open/Eject button?
I'm thinking something like bike-chain oil should do the trick. Yes?

I use white lithium grease pretty much universally on the inside of my consoles/controllers. I wouldn't use bike-chain oil. Doesn't that stuff get sticky?

This is what I used,

Just a couple small squirts. That button works as new now.

As well, opened up my old PS1 console and used tiny dabs of that oil on the lid latch mechanism. Problem solved there as well.
