I think I'd do better if the tunes were a bit longer, as I'm sure everyone would.

I think some would be too easy if I included a longer section! It's tough to gauge I think, but I subscribe to the "Name that Tune" mentality, you only need a few familiar bars to recognize something.

Sure, the snippets you gave are quite fair in length, I'm just too dumb / tone deaf / forgetful to be able to place 'em all.

I think I've got #11 now, so only one more to the halfway point!

Although I will likely get similarily stuck when I sit down and check them all, I seriously don't believe that you are really stuck on #6. You must have the numbers mixed up or something. It's like matching the Bonk's Revenge title screen music.

I am honestly looking forward to hitting a mind block like that though.

Got a chance to go over them. Have to stop, but have figured out all so far except for 4, 7 and 10.

Edit: just figured out number 4 using only the power of my mind. The reason I couldn't focus on it before, is that the Akira and kabuki sounds trigger images of different things and it also reminds me too much of the intro to the Ministry song Breathe.

I wasn't sure if 4 would be tough or not, I think I would recognize any song from that game easily as I used to just play it in my CD walkman all the time. Nice work on getting it though, I think that puts you in the lead maybe with 12/14 figured out. I will start having to give out secret phrase clues soon, not just yet though.

#1 turned out to be my first guess, but the game I had planned on checking next would have also lined up with new hint, which I found afterward. So it's not as much of a giveaway as it might seem.

I know, I recently acquired a couple PCE Mouse games, I should get one. One of em' is even thanks to my awesome Secret Santa - Vasteel 2! That has all kinds of compatible stuff I don't have. MB128, Mouse, Arcade Card (I know, for shame. One day!).

Sounds even more like what I thought the first time I heard it. I didn't have time the other night to find sound roms for everything I suspected and wasted too much of my free time skimming soundtrack compilation videos.

Yep, afraid it's true! BT got all 14 correct, but he still has to unscramble the letters to form the secret phrase yet if he's doing that part also.

9: I've never liked this game because of the cover art and haven't hoven it a fair chance. You should be able to narrow it down quickly, even if you've never heard the game before. That's actually a pretty strong hint.

10: Another game I've only played through a couple times and was biased against, because of my early impression of screenshots while still a Genesis fanboy.

12: I like this game, but still haven't spent much time with it. I love the sounds they used and have always thought that the two canceled PCE ports that this publisher announced would have been perfect with this sound.

I still have 4 unconfirmed letters, 2 if one of the words is what I think it is. 1 if one of the clues is what I thibk it is (despite being unable to find it on the soundtrack). I think I might be barking up the wrong tree as the remaining letters seem to make nonsense.
