Missing sound channels

I currently use the phono from my ifu unit for my sound source so I can get the cd sound. I have a new problem that has just occurred where there seems to be some channels missing from the PCE audio. The music is coming through in stereo as always but some elements of the music have gone missing. It's like not all the sound channels are there

I don't think it's an issue with the PCE itself because I have tried my other 2 on hand PCE units and they all reproduce same issue. Is there something that could be wrong with the ifu? Where should I check?
