Original XBox One owners: need some help

Hi there, any original Xbox One owners that have no intention of purchasing a Kinnect: I got an Xbox One S and it requires a stupid adapter for the Kinnect. I was talking to Microsoft and they said if I provide a Xbox Original serial # I could qualify for a free adapter. The rep said ANY serial # works even if it is my friends console. If anyone would be so kind that would be super cool!

One I found on google image search. You said any launch serial would work so I figured you could try
