@GTV reviews the Cosmic Fantasy 1-2 Switch collection by Edia, provides examples of the poor English editing/localization work. It's much worse for CF1. Rated "D" for disappointment, finding that TurboGrafx CF2 is better & while CF1's the real draw, Edia screwed it up...

What is the difference between the Duo, Duo-r, and the Duo-rx ?

Keranu

Turbo/PC Engine Duo are the original model and have a jet black/grey look to them.

PC Engine Duo R is a new model of the PC Engine Duo, except it's designed a little differently and is slick white.

PC Engine Duo RX is the same as the Duo R except it came packed with a six button controller.

Thanks for the pics too, i think i'm going to try and get the Duo-RX

Keranu

No prob. Good luck with the Duo RX, I believe they are a little hard to find. The Duo Rs are pretty common though.

Systems can be expensive, so I'd say you would pay around $150-230 for a Duo R. Luckily Duo R's are pretty common on eBay and some sellers sell them for good deals. Try keeping your eye on forums like this because people often sell systems for great deals.

The Duo-R and RX do not have the CD door lock or ear phone jack + volume dial. They were designed as a sleaker(cheaper) version of the original, like most console revisions.

The regular Duo's have the A/V out on the left side, making it a quarter wider overall and harder to fit in many spaces. The cable's thick long base is also more likely to get stepped on or knocked around on an old Duo. The R/RX's have their A/V in at the center of the back.

The AC adaptor base is partially covered by the top of the Duo R/RX, also making it less likely to be stepped on, ripping it's pcb out of place as I did with my original Turbo Duo.

The Duo R has a CD door eject button the same color as the rest of the shell. The RX has a purple button, the same color as the logo.

The Duo R has it's logo at the bottom middle on the top of the system. The RX's logo is at the top left corner.

Regular PCE/Turbo Duo's are known to have overheating problems and some people offer fan installs because of this. Duo R/RX's are thought to be more reliable and internal fans are not necessary.

The Duo R comes with a 2 button pad physically identical to the Turbo/Duo/SGX/Coregrafx pads. The RX comes with a 6 button pad physically similar/identical to the PC-FX.
Justin the Not-So-Cheery Black/Hack/CrackTiger helped Joshua Jackass, Andrew/Arkhan Dildovich and the DildoPhiles destroy 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged/destructive/doxxing toxic turbo troll gang which he covers up for under the "community" euphemism!
