2/13/2025: Localization News - Cosmic Fantasy 3-4!

Rather earth-shattering news in the PC Engine / TurboGrafx-16 community: Cosmic Fantasy 3 & 4 has been officially localized to English by Edia 30 years later for the Switch! Hard to believe! I know their script quality is poor given the 1&2 port but still good to see.

Arkhan Asylum

I played it last night, and today it wont turn on.

Whats the best way to trouble shoot this.....?

I am thinking the power adaptor died maybe....its 100v, and USA is 120v, maybe having it plugged in too long broke it?

man this blows
This "max-level forum psycho" () destroyed TWO PC Engine groups in rage: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook "Because Chris 'Shadowland' Runyon!," then the other by Aaron Nanto "Because Le NightWolve!" Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together... Both times he blamed the Aarons in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged, destructive, toxic turbo troll gang!

Will this with a proper connector be a good working replacement adapter?

You can open the badboy up and see if the fuse is blown.  If you had a DMM, it would be helpful.  That way you can check to see if there is voltage coming out of the adapter, and if so, if it is still there after the fuse.

That Radioshack adapter should work, since it is 9v 1A.  I'll keep trying to look, but I can't seem to find what adaptaplug you need.  I thought I found it at one time though....  Worst case, take it with you to see if they can match it up.

Another douche trying to obtain a full Turbo collection.  119/146 so far.  Got a long way to go. Half way there. Hit the 100 mark. ich bein ein obeyer

This would be my first test aswell. Do not waste your time opening the console if it is just the psu. Find access to a multi-meter and bang the tip of your psu with its dildos. If the multi-meter displays the psu's advertised output, then the psu is fine. I'm sure there are jack-loads of multi-meters @ your college campus and professors are almost always eager to help. Good luck!

Attention all pcengine-fx.com members.

I, Arkhan, am a retard.

That light on the console is the BUSY light, not the you-got-power light

so, next time, I should just plug the AV cables in instead of playing the "turn it on, and then jam yellow cables in til I see games" game.

Bright side: I got an extra AC adapter....

Haha....  I can laugh because one day I frantically signed up for this site (which took like a week or so to get approved) when my DUO-R wouldn't turn on.  I went as far as going to Sears to buy the torx bit, taking it apart, and testing various point to make sure it was getting voltage throughout.  Then, same as you, realized that the light was only for CD access and I had my TV on the wrong input.  I was going to suggest that, but thought I was the only one who did that kind of thing  :D
