turbo duo / stepdown converter

There are several threads discussing the use of a stepdown converter (120V to 100V) in order to resolve problems with the Duo's CD drive.  I'm having similar problems and I'd like to try this solution before calling RetroGames.

So my question is: where can I find a stepdown converter!  Radioshack only sells ones for use with European devices.  Does anyone have any reccomendations on where I could find a Japan-US voltage converter?

The ones I have a bifunctional, going both 120->100 and 100->120 with a switch.  Heavy duty, not some cheap modified cable or anything.
