Was rumored/confirmed in days. Originally claimed for older peeps that prefer "bigger buttons/easier to see screens."

This is what the DSi should've been from the get go - a clear upgrade from the DS rather than a DS with tacked on goodies (and gimmicks). Does anybody else find it funny that the big N is going in the 'wrong' direction by making each successive model a bit bigger instead of smaller? Not that I'm complaining, as they're adding stuff and not just making it bigger for shits and giggles.

Unless it comes with a GBA Cart slot, I don't really care.. lol.

I still think the DS Lite is the best version of the DS, although I am partial to my phat.

Well...no, because this is the first one to be larger than the last. The DSi was more or less the same size as the Lite (the DSi is slightly wider, but thinner), and the Lite is certainly smaller than the original DS. The Gameboy line also pretty much just shrank from day one.

I stand corrected; they're only going the wrong way with this one model. I'd completely overlooked the first big downsizing from the original fatty, and I was mistakenly thinking that the DSi was bigger than the Lite in two out of three dimensions and displaced a greater volume.

yeah my pink DSlite is the winner as far as what nintendo handheld do i shove in my pocket today.

I vastly prefer the DSi. You get the games from the store, Flipnote Studio, the web browser, etc. The only thing "bad" about it is that it doesn't play GBA games. But, IMO, any DS is a crappy GBA machine when you have two SPs, two Micros, and a GB Player, as well as an OG DS. The OG DS is too damned big, and the DS Lite has the cart sticking out the front, as well as totally jacked up color. Also, every DS has crappy buttons compared to the Micro. The Micro just rules. I love that thing.
