12/23/2024: Localization News - Team Innocent

PC-FX Localization for Team Innocent is released, a pre-Christmas gift!! In a twist, it feels like the NEC PC-FX got more attention in 2024 than any other time I can remember! Caveat: The localizers consider the "v0.9" patch a BETA as it still faces technical hurdles to eventually subtitle the FMV scenes, but they consider it very much playable.

Hey guys,

I am not sure if you guys go to retro conventions, but there is one that is absolutely awesome called the Midwest Gaming Classic. It happens every year during the last week of March in Milwaukee. There were three floors of sellers in a hotel. I bought a boat load of stuff. There were about nine or ten different sellers selling both PC Engine and T-16. You would not believe the rarities I saw there. They had a PC Engine LT CIB, Super Grafx CIB, PC Engine Shuttle. Too many to list here. And oh yeah, they had about a hundred pinball and arcade machines.

I got some great deals on alot of games, including Bonk 3 CD which was only $60 (See the pic below). So guys, tell us about your convention experiences as it relates to turbo merchandise.

Tupin

I was there, that's where I got my TG-16. I think the guy selling the Turbo stuff had some good deals, but I don't know if I misheard him or not, but he wanted $4000 for that CIB LT.  :-"

I am glad to hear that you were there. That event was like a dream.

It was some asian guy selling the PC Engine stuff as well as the LT. He was asking for some incredibly high prices. He wanted $50 for a resealed copy of Shinobi for the PC Engine. Yeah right..

I hope you asked around for turbo games because a lot of the sellers had their turbo stuff out of sight. There was this guy from Germantown, WI that was hands down the best of the bunch. He was the one that had Dungeon Explorer 2 and Might and Magic 3 on display. That is where I got all my turbo games from.

Tupin

I got my TG-16 from the guy right next to him, and got an Intellivision II from him. I guess I either didn't see those games, or I missed them.

I got some good non-Turbo related stuff, though. But a $35 TG-16 would have been hard to find around here.

there is a much smaller scale convention in the greater cleveland ohio area, www.ccagshow.com

Its like 2$ to get in, and Ill be there demoing stuff!
This "max-level forum psycho" () destroyed TWO PC Engine groups in rage: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook "Because Chris 'Shadowland' Runyon!," then the other by Aaron Nanto "Because Le NightWolve!" Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together... Both times he blamed the Aarons in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged, destructive, toxic turbo troll gang!
