More of my collection up on the block today. Low starts for the most part, and as always real auctions, with no reserves.

It's in great condition, and is a fantastic PCEngine starter set, with some PCEngine imports to get you started.

Doing auctions 'right' (by my definition) is very hard work. Lots of clear pics, from many angles, and detailed lists with specific detailed descriptions is time consuming. I have a lot of repsect for the power sellers on eBay who put the same level of effort into their auctions.

Kind of douchey responses no?  Considering you couldn't figure out how to send the correct tracking # (at least 2 times).  You wondered why someone would start to worry.

Two things:

1) text is limited, and it's very easy to draw your own interpretation as to intent. The above was informational. O:)

2) I have sent one and only one tracking number to turbografxfan. The one above. The only mistake I made in regards to tracking number was questioning myself in the first place. Apparently I've only sent one tracking number, the above correct one. When I checked into turbografxfan's concern like any good seller would, I assumed I had made a mistake. I was mistaken about being wrong, I had not made a mistake.

I had assumed that since turbografxfan asserted that he must have the wrong tracking number because he said it was tracked as delivered when he did not have it. Therefore he must have the wrong track number. I apologized prematurely. My guess is turbografxfan simply misread the San Francisco customs line as 'delivered'. An easy mistake if one just does a cursory read. I assumed that before one would raise the spectre of an eBay claim, one would be sure that they were correct. I assumed incorrectly.

So, the good news is, I was correct in the first place, and it has been delivered to the address I was given through eBay and PayPal. I also have all of the paperwork to prove the insurance, and delivery confirmation.

If being compulsive about careful shipping, careful tracking, and fast communication about issues makes me douchey in your books, I guess douchey I am.

HNow, I hope turbografxfan is pleased with the set, the price, and the games. If he isn't, all he has to do is let me know. If we can't sort it out, he can always return it for a full refund. The method used constantly updating it's travel, and the last response seemed smarmy IMO. "It's there! Imagine that turbografxfan!"   Seems dickish to me.  Plus whenI was contacted on what they should do...asyou previously sent TWO incorrect tracking #'s before the correct one (a total of 3), and the fact you weren't responded to their messages..they were fairly concerned.  I went off what a memeber I talk to regularly was worried about.

let me just say thay im 35 years old and when I was 14 I saw in turbo play or some other zine, the SUPERGRAFX.  When I saw it it had fuckin angles singing crunchy 8 bit music in my ears.  now keep in mind,  Im the fuckin guy that at the age of 14  I had a job during the summer sweeping warehouses just so at the end I could buy a turbo cd.  and yes it was woth it...   now.  I really didnt have the money to buy this sgx but I did what it took and bought it.............  YES!!!!!! after over 15 years i have my supergrfx.  now! Claiming dishonesty right away is REALLY a piss poor thing to do.  Also if packaged properly (as he runs a business FIXING systems one could ASSUME he knows how to pack properly), and if there was no damage to the box it was prob fubbared before it was sent.

I know as a seller also, if the system is busted and the buyer is willing to send it somewhere to get it fixed, it would be easiest for the seller to just pay the amount it costs to fix.  Seller probably pays about the same amount as it would cost to ship it back, doesn't have to refund money and both parties are happy.  Then I would imagine positive feedback to be had by all.

I've sold a lot on eBay. Lots of feedback. This one I will likely get from turbografxfan will likely stand out.

I've not insinuated anything. Haven't attacked ANYBODY. Look for quotes, and paste them in. I'll wait.

I have however communicated with turbografxfan in eBay messages, and PM's. I've dealt with literally thousands of customers. Every once in a while I run across one that I would prefer not have as a customer. He is not the first, will likely not be the last. I can live with my 0.1% unhappy customer rate track record and still sleep ok.

Considering how he has dealt with his likely legitimate issue with my auction item in PM's and on the forums, I feel no need to draw out the transaction one second longer than required. While I doubt this will be acknowledged by him, I'm sure that he would like to terminate his transaction with OSG as quickly as possible as well. That's all I have left to give him, so as is my policy, I will give him what I can.

Any intelligent person who is willing to give this any thought at all, should be able to figure out why I might want the facts as I see them to exist in this thread. How the thread goes with the forum denizens has become irrelevant to me here. It's the content from me that counts.

I've actually done the above before (I've had to exercise OSG warranty through mail order on rare occasions) It's something I would choose to do based on the circumstances of the issue, my opinion of the customer, and the likelihood of retrieving a positive outcome from the transaction.

Which is basically a trade off instead of paying the return shipping.  Without the Supergrafx, the RAU isn't of much value to him.  So you offered him a paperweight, nice offer.
