Grey Super Cd Rom 2 lens replacement

Hi I opened up a Grey Super Cd Rom 2 unit but couldn't see any clear way to get to the the lens / drive mechanism to replace it. I saw a vid on Youtube but I think it was for the briefcase Cd Rom 2.

I heard these lenses were ok;

The KSS-220A is the laser you want.

Check the little gears to make sure they aren't stripped as well.
