While I can't fully understand your situation since I don't share your condition, I wish you the best. I hope you find what makes you happy and feel fulfilled. Takes courage to announce these types of things, and thankfully the love of Turbo brings us together with a common interest.

I actually have a friend from high school that went through something similar, I haven't seen him (her?) in years, but he went all the way through the hormone therapy, and surgeries for gender reassignment and changes to facial structure etc. If you didn't know better, you honestly wouldn't be able to tell he was male once.

How did this go down with your wife? Obviously you mentioned divorce, so not great I'd expect, but did she understand your position, or just upset and angry?

wow rover, that's quite some decision  there to leave some of your beloved family members behind (even and sure hopefully only temporary). I couldn't imagine at this point to move and leave one of the two of them behind me. would be heart broken for ever day that's passing by.

We had an amicable divorce (at least I will allow her to believe we did), but the reasoning behind the divorce was one of the catalysts for the realization that I was this way. My ex wife is actually really supportive of this, although a part of her doesn't want me to fully transition... she keeps tossing subtle discouragements my way. It's amusing, to say the least, but it doesn't sway me in the slightest.

My daughters are still her daughters too... they just live with me right now because I am the most capable of taking care of them. I don't want to leave any of them here in PR, but it is the smartest way for now. Bringing all three into a situation where things may still be uncertain is a recipe for disaster... one will be hard enough.
