Well considering that all the stores here in Japan seem to be charging at
least 10,000yen for any DUO system, you got quite a nice deal indeed.

10'000 but only for loose and shaby ones. for a boxed you have to pay in mimimum 15'000 (DUO) up to over 30K for an RX.

Yeah my boxed DUO-R was 16,000, and worth every single yen.

well the secret is of course looking for mis-spelled ebay auctions!! i was almost sniped out at the end, if i had not been it would have been only 30!! i saw another one recently for a briefcase system, but he must have noticed the mistake, my bid was cancelled when he realized he was going to make no money

i also found star parodia for dirt cheap bcause the person coulnd turn katakana to useable english haha

ya the cheapest pce duo i saw was about 120 the duo r 180 and rx 250 and up! ive actually never seen a cdrom by itself but pce engines bare, (bare s in no cd, no box, no tv ord, no power cord) are only 15. thats a good deal in comparison and are plentiful.

now if only i could find auction listings for bkon3, ctoton, dienastic hoer, i would be a happy pappy

I got an RAU-30 for my SuperGrafx/CD setup really really cheap that way. It had a title to the effect of "RAU ADAPTER 30 FOR PC COMPUTER".

To boot it was brand new, never been opened. It still had original "NEC" tape holding the warranty card plastic closed as well as a plastic insert over the contacts. I almost cried when I had to open it all and put it into use. The auction didn't even advertise the fact that it was new.

I picked up a wonderfully boxed PCE DUO for $140 shipped EMS from Japan. Got it off ePay. I couldn't believe it. The auction ended around 12:30 pm on a Friday so I thought I had a good chance of winning it without some jergoff sniping it. So, at work I booked a conference room with a PC, blocked an hour off my schedule, and spent 59 minutes and 30 seconds convincing myself that it was normal adult behavior to do such things.

Then I won the auction and felt like a complete dork.

Now I'm waiting for D-Lite to answer email...
