Heh, just noticed this post.  I was actually in the building right next door, BC Place, watching it on the jumbotron while we waited for the closing ceremonies to start.  Talk about an amazing game.  I'm American, so I was sad, but my wife is Canadian, so she was pretty happy.  I suspect if the Canadians had lost, I woulda been shot in the streets or something on the walk back to the hotel.  There were crazy numbers of ppl partyin' in the streets!

If you had taken that bullet in the streets, that would've been as significant as anyone who took a shot on the beaches of Normandy.  Too bad that it didn't happen...  but we had the 4 man bobsled gold, which means more than hockey anyway... and we didn't lose because of cross-eyed ineptitude.

Yuna Kim's the only person that mattered in this Olympics for me and 50 million other Koreans (well...  Maybe that's not quite true - short track events are in our minds too...).

But my wife's also Canadian, and holy crap, she wouldn't stop harping on about ice hockey game(s).  I got a lot of hate during the first Canada-US game, because I also hold a US passport.

That was an amazing hockey game though.  The only complaint that I had (which is really moot now) is that Team Canada played a little too defensively with their keep-away strategy.  Other than that, it was a great hockey game!
