Ya im considering getting a turbo duo black console because im having no luck with my rx with certain issues and someone told me that the turbo duo black have a way better mobo as the rx has a better cdrom. So I'm curious whats the going fair rate for a turbo duo black as ether a usa or jp console maybe give me a price for a modded one also.

I saw a one on ebay for 160 which includes shipping but the sound doesn't work which i think is just a simple cap replacement.

Ok got my turbo duo rx back and its still not working . The component mod is now showing graphics though but there is a shadow behind all the words on the cdrom loading screen and there is a green tint to it. But the real kicker is now the cdrom no longer well read cdrom games just keeps reading the spitting the eye out to the far edge of the cdrom constantly till i turn off the system. Plus the last remaining intact laser peg is now broke when i got it back. I am really frustrated and upset this has been a complete nightmare. Its almost cost me as much to ship it and pay for the mod than i originally paid for it from hit japan on ebay.

I opened it up and took the cdrom cover off and started it and the eye just goes to edge of disc and the cogs keep sending it to the edge. Dont think its trying to read the disc though. The pots are in the same spot as when it was reading discs before.

Any suggestions

[Console Repair/Mod Center / got my moded duo back no screen shown]

Ok I got my duo rx back from being modded with region and component. Well excitement quickly turned to disappointment. Ok first things first the region mod works just fine and the original av out plug works just fine but when ever i try connecting my component cable to the plugs on the rx and then tv no single at all. Sometimes and i mean sometimes it flickers a screen of the game or system menu.

Before doing component mod i was asked to hook up my t16 to the y plug on my component inputs on tv to see if it would display black and white and it did. So im kind of frustrated right now as to why its not working. If i hook up the y plug and plug it into the composite av input i get black and white game screen. So i have no idea whats wrong.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

I was reading that even with rgb modded systems there is a slight lag of graphics on hd tv's. Is this true and how much of a lag is it or is it not really noticeable.

Ok I got Air zonk off ebay and it came with box manual and sleeve and a plastic insert for the card to rest in. I suppose the question would  be is that how it was suppose to come as there was no cd case for? It I don't want to pay for this if I was ripped off and was suppose to get a jewel case. Reason I'm asking this is I thought the TTI releases were to come loose.

Selling my Richmans toys RC Batmobile 1989. First time i took it out was great but a cog broke so my grandfather ordered new parts and we just never got back around to it as he got sick and he finally passed away last summer . We ordered the protective hardcase but the company went out of business and never shipped it to me and took my money. It should work with the new parts if i can replace the parts myself i well but i don't have a charger for the battery. I would like 300 zeny obo. also has box no packing material though and its beaten up.

I completely forgot to introduce myself even though iv been a forum browser for a long time just decided to finally rereg and be active in the community. So hello. I'm a modest collector as i don't have the cash flow to collect like most folks but I do what i can.

I always wanted a turbografx since the first time i saw one in a mall on a large screen tv when I was a kid. But never got one as i already had an Atari and my mother got me a Nintendo. God how i wish i had gotten one when they were 99 bucks and games were uber cheap. I think about 10 or more years ago when i was 18 or 20 I dont remember really I bought a turbografx off ebay for a 100 bucks which included the cdrom + docking station system card 2.0 3.0 and Ys 1+2 and Neutopia don't really remember what else it had its been so long. The guy even sent me his Dracula x to burn and send back which i did. I then kind of lost interest after the cdrom stopped working after letting it sit for a year. Then Around 2008 2009 I got an rx which worked and picked up some games. Wish i had gotten some of the more expensive ones back then when they were cheaper. So after that the cdrom stopped working in the rx 2 years later. I was sad because of this so I found this forum.

I think back then repairing stuff was at its earliest and people were still finding stuff out about it and I bought a replacement laser to fix my RX. I got it and replaced it and it still didn't work. I sent it to Nathan Burnside who was a forum member here i do not remember his name on forum at all. He said he fixed it and sent it back and it still didn't work. I think it was because the pegs that hold the cdrom 2 of them were broke in transit i don't know. So  I lost interest and but it was always in the back of my head to get it fixed.

So i had to move to Kauai to take care of my grandmother. Packed up everything i owned and went. For shits and giggles i hooked up my rx to play ninja gaiden (awesome port btw) and played that and then i stuck in Winds of thunder and it worked and was kind of shocked but Dracula x still wouldn't work very good. So i looked up here some pot calibration stuff and got it have way working. I was pleased to say the least. I started reading the forums and talking to people and was suggested to send my rx to Thesteve and did. So that's were i am at this moment. Hes going to do region mod scart or component mod or s-video not sure which or if at all hes doing and hopefully fixing my laser to work correctly as it wouldnt even read a burned copy of rayxanber III but magic engine did just fine.

[Console Repair/Mod Center / What is the correct power supply for a Turbo Duo-rx]

I was thinking my cdrom troubles might be caused by a bad or wrong psu that i got with system from japan

specs on the psu are

Nec
Model: PAD-129
input: AC100V 50-60Hz 20VA
output: DC9V 1000mA

is this the correct one to use if so then my new laser i have in it is bad or just need its pots calibrated. Luckly my rx is on its way to thesteve for moding and fixing.

This is my collection atm. What isn't shown as its packed still from move is virtual boy + games atari 2600 7800 + games gba games ds games jaguar+ cd. This is far from a brag just finally posting my collection somewhere so i can link it to my friends.  O and a metal slug skill stop machine. Need to get some floating shelves to put some consoles on them above my tv/computermoniter were I do my interwebs. Any suggestions on shelves or just anything to display stuff nicer. Currently everything is on a rack i got from a Kmart metal with poster board for the shelves.

WTT a Virtual Boy for a Turbo Duo preferably a modded one and in pretty good condition also have a model3 genesis. I also have a regular turbo grafx 16 that plays hucards just fine with connecters and controllers and the cdrom unit but the cdrom doesn't work. Let me know if anyone is interested. Wouldn't mind some games too as i don't have many.

Btw iv been around here since 2009 had nathan burnside fix my turbo duo rx. But when i got it back from him it didn't work. When i moved to Hawaii to take care of my grandmother i plugged it in for shits and giggles and it worked lol don't know why. Anyways that's why i didn't frequent here because i had no working system. Well yesterday when i found out it worked i couldn't remember my login name pw so i have this one i made last year.
