Self adhesive is much thinner.  Peel a label of an old case and see.  Spray on is thicker.  It wont end the debate at all.  I am sure that label can be duplicated with enough effort; however it is a tear away label meaning it has razor blade slits in it to make it harder to remove. 

Now the NEC labels may be a better indication.  Those are what look like the silver backed labels that could be peeled with a razor blade.  The center label would be hard because it sits in the recess.  Some mitsubishi underhood labels are the same material and they can be carefully removed but if you pull them by hand they damage the finish to indicate they were removed.

The one thing that gives this away is the fact the CD tray is not clear.  The factory isnt going to take time to mask off areas ect.  They will take a fresh case, spray and move it down the assy line.

I too know someone who worked for Nec in Wooddale......he says your wrong.  This was cleared by a third party after it left NEC factory.  The Serial number is probably cleared under the paint or missing.  If for some foggy idea it is on top the paint I have no doubt you will find spray adhesive on the label.

I have seen a UFo actually.....it sold me a cleared duo and a Rare cleared MC for 10.00.

I have way to many hobbies for time.   

Lets start with Automotive, been a mechanic for years so naturally auto building is one.  From antique restoration to fabricating, engine building, Trans building, rear end building, MIG TIG and Lil Arc welding, Roll cage building, Only thing I don't do is paint.  Been doing a lot of this for 30+ years.  Followed my father.  Current Toy is a 69 Superbee. Future toy sitting waiting is a 97 Z28 (been in the family since new), DSM is back to factory although fun while it lasted, it was still a 4 cylinder and lacked that thing called torque.  Currently daily driving and wishing someone would t-bone it.

Harley's, one custom chopper I built, all the frame work is mine (raked to 43* with 4 inch front stretch), ect ect.  Second one is a 96 Softail.

Skydiving instructor....RW, Wingsuit, Tandem.  Since 07.  Currently own Dynamic Velocity LLC.

Pyrotech for Ace Pyro in Michigan.  Started a year ago and still working on the last portion of my licensing.  By far one of the most interesting hobbies I have picked up.

This year I started AR15 building.  80% lowers no numbers is the way to go.  For fellow gun nuts, Collections consists of more glocks than needed, Kimber Warrior, Sig P250, couple Mosins, MP15 Sport, Custom build 556, second Build Started 6.8, M82 Barrett.  Not a bad start for the past year.

Video games are just a way to kill time when i have it.  NEC mostly, some NES, Very few Wii, And a PS3.

Wow, you have a shitty hand there for sure.  I feel you on the female hiring deal.  There is a huge diversity push for female employees across the country now.  Our industry is seeing it just as bad, you can have a male applicant that has done the job and he will be beat out by a female with zero experience.  it makes you sick.  At the same time, family members cannot work in the same dept or building in our company either.

Dont quit your job.  your going to need those paychecks when she has to go on leave.  I would say to start looking at a civilian job.  Working for any state sucks ass as you can see.

You might be black listed for working in the same dept as her.  Think about it.....if she has an issue with the dept then not only are they dealing with her pissed but you as well.

Keep your head up.......its just a job, a means for you and your wife to bring a new life into an otherwise dark and cold world.

to my knowledge those were used in rental stores and sold to the public.  There are like 3 different ones.  2 are molded like that and one is all foam.  I have another version that has slots for 3 games, 2 controllers and a tap (as well as all hookups.)
