@GTV reviews the Cosmic Fantasy 1-2 Switch collection by Edia, provides examples of the poor English editing/localization work. It's much worse for CF1. Rated "D" for disappointment, finding that TurboGrafx CF2 is better & while CF1's the real draw, Edia screwed it up...

I don't know what this is from, but this should have been a magazine add. It's even better without context.
I believe this is from those wonderful Pixel boobies magazine "games".  Bikini Girls FTW.  with some Esty flavor text added.

Quote from: Gredler on 02/08/2018, 01:06 AMI have a distane for both hasek and Roy, so my opinion is purely biased. I'd put fuhr and eddy above both of them. I never saw plante or hall, so I have a hard time ranking them despite knowing their influence. How about some Richter love, hell he is the main character in the PCE castlevania and introduced the world to the flexibility and style we enjoy seeing out of so many goalies today :)

IMG
Richter was the man!

Fuhr is in the convo. no doubt.

I'lll give you Eddy as a rock solid guy.

Actives goalies - what's everyone's thoughts?

I'm not sure how to rank them but here are few I would consider.

yeah BT is quite right:  Talk to Sam/Elmer/NW about some of the stuff they have worked on, it's not something you just do in a few hours of spare time.  I was amazed at how much time goes into games with just a little bit of text.

Most people think it's something like this:

also since it doesn't get mentioned often it's a pretty awesome site for looking at all the hardware, controllers, and add-ons made.

Quote from: NecroPhile on 11/27/2017, 09:49 AMLOL at the prices.  Even in Canadian funny money, nobody's gonna pay anywhere near that much.

Quote from: turboswimbz on 11/24/2017, 07:18 PMI know the guy near me just paid top E-bay prices then added 30% on them just so he had TG-16 in the store.
I don't get that.  The local game store rarely ever has any Turbobs (if they do, it's loose TV Sports and Keiths), and nobody cares.  We all understand that they're relatively rare and pricey, so nobody expects them to have a sizable stock on hand.
Not really sizable.  I mean he has several games like space harriar, bonk, riot zone, madden.  I am sure he got these in an over priced lot.  HE also "collects" .  I have mixed reviews of the place and so do a lot of other people.  I mean selection wise it's cool, price wise it leaves a bit to be desired.  here is the current turbobs for offer:

Quote from: Ѕarumaru on 11/23/2017, 11:49 PMSo to clear things up, yes, there was a problem with the name in regards to our trademark application and it getting rejected mostly in part because Henshin Inc exists. However, thanks to a passive-aggressive email I got from the owner of Henshin Inc, it allowed me to put a plan in place early on. I will be making an announcement in the next few days regarding all of it as well as the release of the game. So stay tuned!

This article From the other thread touches on DUO madden.

https://www.gamasutra.com/view/feature/225466/stalled_engine_the_turbografx16_.php

It appears the game was licensed by NEC and converted by Hudson Soft when NEC was still involved and then published eventually by TTI, when they were still working on all the old NEC deals.

The Hudson Soft thing is interesting, well all the FMV is in that game.

I was searching around that dirt DUO whata phile site and found this:  (THANKS NULL)

IMG

The article here states licenced from EA and Published by Hudson.

How can I trust you if you don't know the difference between different and difference

Quote from: Gredler on 02/14/2016, 07:43 PMVideogames! Do you like them? I do. Playing a videogame is one of my favorite pass times. What are some of your favorites? I like game that involve the player flying space ships, and shooting lazer beams at alien spacecrafts and creatures. I've bought some videogames on eBay, and they have varied in quality. I think to get banned you would need to post socially unacceptable content, offensive to the culture of the community.

What is NG.com? I've never heard of it. Is it that the site where shockwave games get posted? (New grounds or something?)

The testosterone in this thread makes me wonder if it's nogirlz.com, but that would be silly. Hahah!

Whatever is the case, welcome to the site. I look forward to hearing your opinions and stories about videogames, because I think they are rad.

Taz in the Escape from mars

Why you may be asking? Well It's simple this is the 1 of only 2 (genny) games I played as a young kid.  My friend Jimmy had a copy of this game and a genesis.  He'd get an N-64 soon enough and this would be forgotten.  We could never beat it.   HAHA well now I have and regret it.

Anyway let's just get to the meat of it.  This game is mediocre.  Not as absolutely terrible as it's panned for sure but it has several huge problems
1) THe sounds are just terible
2) The Controls feel clunky compared to it's platforming counter parts. not bad but not great either
3) The MUSIC is worse than an SNES under water.
4)  The Platforming layout is terrible.  The spin is hard to control, You have to jump off screen all the time, generally into danger.  Taz also just eats anything you touch, most of which is harmful and placed in areas where the controls do not let you avoid it.  Also many times you can go through walls or floors, but it's not intuitive as to which you can.  When the platforming is on screen and not filled with traps, it's actually pretty good, so this is more of a case of lazy programming then limitations, which is the worse offense of the game.

However there area few really nice things about the game.
1) the graphics are decent, the game looks good - although the backgrounds leave much to be desired.
2) there are a wide variety of interesting places to visit and to see, as well as plenty of WB characters to meet. plenty of cartoon references around as well.
3) several points of the game are fun and satisfying, I just wish it was more than a short burst here and there.

So there you have it a poorly programed game that had the potential to be so much better.   If you've never heard of it or played it, don't go out of your way, but it might be worth a little fun if you like this sort of game.

Overall 4/10.
