That japanese contra cover is horrible!  Good find there.

Japanese Ranger X- pretty cool, but kind of plain.  Makes me want to play something that would appear to have a little more action.



USA Ranger X- awesome action pose with flames, looks belligerent as hell.  This cover makes me want to destroy stuff with a huge mech, which is convenient since that's what the game is about.

The JPN version looks like a little kid's cartoon, the US cover is 100% true to the game's badass image.

[Buy/Sell/Trade / A few games for trade- Rayxanber II, Lady Sword, Dragon Ball]

Lady Sword is complete and mint.



Rayxanber II is only missing the spine card, excellent condition.



Dragon Ball is missing the spine card, great condition but the book has a tiny bit of wear on the back page (just a few small wrinkles, nothing bad).



Mainly looking for other shooter/action games that I haven't played.

[PCE/TG-16|CD/SGX Discussion / Ys Soundtrack preferences]

I'm playing through Nightwolve's awesome Ys I&II Complete translation, and it rules.  I downloaded the music change .rar also but I'm having some mixed feelings about it.  Some of the choices are better, but oddly enough I actually enjoy a few of the stock tunes better.  For example, I think the stock First Step Towards Wars is better than the old PC Engine version because it just sounds meaner, the hard synth is more pounding and I think fitting of the song.  Anyway, the guy did a great job on the package, but I wish I could keep the old First Step Towards Wars and a couple others and just use the rest of the package!

One of my favorites is Exile II. It's another "WTF was Working Designs thinking ??" cover, I remember seeing it in VG&CE and thinking it was horrible looking and that nobody would ever take the awesome Turbo Duo seriously if companies kept using stupid covers like that.





It looks like some kid's crappy art festival shoe-box diarama.  It REALLY hits you how bad it sucks when you compare it to how awesome the Japanese cover was-
