The third mini boss is like the toughest enemy throughout the whole game. I've never been able to beat him without this wide range weapon you get previously in the level. I usually don't go above him but stay at the very left just below the wall. He can't hit you there while your wide range shot beats the shit out of him. Obviously, this is only possible if you pick up the weapon first

I remember now the reason I keep the sleeves with the short side up front. The later HuCard games (e.g. the Hudson volumes ~45+) contain sleeve with two little holes and the corresponding hookes on the case to hold the sleeve in its place. These holes are on the longer sleeve side which therefore has to be the bottom side.

I've tested the site with Safari v3.0.4 and the older v2.0.4, both on an OSX 10.4. However, I couldn't reproduce the error, the page has always been displayed correctly. Here's a screenshot from Safari 3:

The descriptions on the second one are just too dominant, it hurts my eyes! On the original core, you have to know what you are plugging without these obvious descriptions, that makes it a very nerdy piece of hardware! In fact only a pro use it properly!!

Here's a pic of both Gunhed versions right next to each other. On the right side you see the uber rare special edition, made in 1989 by a company called Sunshower. The number of known pieces is currently at 1 but it's rumored that much more of them exist! I don't know if NEC ever sued them due to copyright violations.

I think that if you have infinite cash (and space) the SGX+CD is great, but for the more practically minded it isn't even worth the space it wastes. This goes double for people just starting out like this guy is.

I've never meant to recommend buying a SGFX to someone who just got started with PCE stuff. But even if you think the SGFX sucks atm, you will sooner or later come to a point where you got most of the finest (Super) HuCard / (Super) CD-Rom(²) stuff. By then (the latest) you will consider buying a SGFX to play three very good games. If you like these games you will certainly get this design award winning console much sooner!

I fully intend to buy a SGX someday because I like NEC stuff

M*****feckin' Ganon, the first time I faced him without having upgraded the arrows, but he pushed me into the hole pretty quickly anyway. In the end, he didn't stand a chance against elnino-sama!

Final boss of GoT, my heart was beating like crazy!


FFVI, final fight against Kefka, very impressive, he was way too easy though.


FFV, hardest feckin' boss I've ever seen in any game I've ever played! The first time, I walked through the last maze for about an hour just to get slashed down by this ass within minutes. When I finally thought I had beaten him, he transformed into NeoExDeath and sent 23456456 Meteo spells at my party within one turn! Of course I was going down again. It took me like 15 tries to beat him, I think I really learnt cussing thanks to him.

Daimakaimura, probably my most favourite game, there was a time when I played it through twice a day for months! Loki's just great, like all the bosses in this game, if you stand on his foot and jump when he lifts it, you get very close to his face and are able to shoot him down easily. If you wonder what his penis looks like, there is none, lol. This screenshot seems to be fake, the wizard sends you back to the start of the level if you try to enter the final battle with a weapon other than the psycho cannon. It would be stupid anyway since the cannon is far the most powerful weapon in the game.



Maybe the best moment in game history, your ship is being chased by a brain! Hilarious!!
